175w Hamilton 14K bulbs on pulse ballast

I am currently running Ushio 10k 175w bulbs with a pulse start ballast and would like to go to Hamilton 14k's. I have always read that this was not recommended. Marine Depot's web site says that these can run on the pulse ballast. Is it safe?

Im running a 175w 14K hamilton on my 175w hamilton pulse start balast with no problems.

Thanks for your reply Sir,

I just talked to Hamilton (not sure why I didn't call them in the first place?). They said yes you can run them on the pulse start ballast.

I will place an order with MD as they have always done a great job for me. Over 15 orders (some large) and never a problem.

We were not aware of any problems between the Hamilton bulb and pulse-start ballasts. We were going to give Hamilton a call to verify that, but I guess you got to it before we did
