Thanks i have to plumb the refuge today and the cal. reactor. Then work on the lighting system over the week. It's a lot of work when you work so many hrs. I can't wait until i'm finished so i can enjoy it a little. I just purchased a hammer head for the closed loop and will get that in this week also.

Thanks i have another one. They seem like they are the fastest growing corals and most millies.

Thank's Rich. I have to do something else i can't paint the back of the glass because thats the only way of seeing what i'm cleaning in the tank. Looking for another way of doing it. I think i am going to try and make something like a blk. drape. If you have any other ideas let me no. I still need to rescape the tank but i need to have someone in front of the tank to let me no were to put the rocks. Send me that link on your tank.
 
Get a colored sheet of acrylic and cut it to fit. You can hang that. I have seen a few tanks like that and it looks great! They did this just for this purpose. I believe Oregon Reef did this also.

Thanks i will look into that i will have to cut 9 wholes in that also. Here is a picture of the back of my tank.

Yeah, that could be a problem...... :) How about some kind of dark film like window tint? With the lights on inside you would be able to see inside. Just a thought.

any problems with the foam on the bottom of the tank , i am putting up 210 AGA with a DIY stand, not to sure Yes to Foam or not

No i haven't had any problems with it at all. There was a thread up last week and another person said that you should check with the people who make the tank and see if it will be ok use styro. I wish i could remember were it was so that i could forward it to you. I have a all glass tank and a friend of mine does to and he has had his set up for about a year now. No problems. My tank is all glass the styro is 3/4 and there is not a dent in it anywere. Good luck.
 
Its been 2 months since i have started the tank. I still don't have the lighting system set up the way i want it. That will be next week. I have been running 2-400 watt. xm 10ks over the tank and 4-3 foot vhos over the left side of the tank. Next week i will have all the lights on it. I am adding another 400 watt 10k and then i will have 2-6ft. attinics and 2-6ft. super attinics over the whole tank. I have made a change to the close loop i switched out the dart to a hammer head. I put the dart on the return for the tank and the frag tank. This seems to work out good. I can't run the top 4 from the closed loop wide open yet but the bottom 4 are wide open it kicks up a lot of sand if i have them open. here are a few pictures of the tank since i started it up in feb. The birds nest is a real fast grower.

Thanks FFrankie. The table top is the size of a 5 gal. bucket top. I bought it from a guy in rockford, il. along with a lot of frags and the brids nest also.
 
I had to cut the top of the frount of the tank out. Just not enough room to work in the back.
