180G Waterfall Tank Build

Yeah, I have a *feeling* you're new tank is going to be really nice! Good luck with your move. I feel you on the housing market. We have a rental down in Tolleson. Luckly, we have tenants. I can't imagine trying to sell down there right now.

Well I got moved and tried to sell this tank but I could not find any buyers. I had a 125 set up and it managed to get car polish in it and I spent 4 months trying to get it out and watching all my corals die. I finally broke down and set this tank back up in a room all to its own to save what little I had left from the 125. It is a temporary home as I'm building my new big tank but I thought I would share a few pictures. Here it is about 3 weeks after set up. I still have a lot of things to mount as I really only have frags left over. Its nice to have it set up again, I'm trying to figure out how to use this with my new set up, we will see.

Sorry to hear about your 125 but the waterfall tank looks great! I was curious about what had happened with this tank, I'm glad to see that you kept it and set it up again.

What return pump are you using? Is it loud? The reason i ask is casue it seams a good ammount of water is comming out of those two bulkheads into the second tank.

I thought you had found a buyer for this tank. It does look good and most of the corals look healthy. Sorry to hear about the other tank and the coral losses from that.

I'm using an Ocean Runner 2500 It does not make any noise but the "waterfall" does.

I have a lot of people interested in the tank but nobody committed.

I'm psyched to see it set back up, just sorry I was too slow on pulling the trigger on buying it!

That tank is such a beauty, looks AWESOME.

Should have kept it anyway, I love that tank!
As far as the noise is concerned, would it be possible to run 2 down pipes into a Black acrylic box with a bubble trap?

HOLY CRAP......... SOMEONE ELSE HAD MY IDEA... THERES A PETCO THAT I WAS GOING TO PICK UP A TANK JUST LIKE THAT... THE POSSIBILITIES WITH IT ARE ENDLESS...
KILLER THREAD :D
