Same tank that Starphiretank was trying to sell on here a few days ago so you could save yourself some time and just talk to him about it

Yeah...wish it was my dream tank. The wife says I can only get one more display tank, so I'm waiting for a 4x4x2 240 starphire to come along

Yep its mine. The only problem is you would have to build a stand for it to fit in. The wife is making me keep the on it was on for our new tank. So as soon as Acer sees this he was next in line to check it out if he is interested.

Yeah. I'm thinking when I move I'll keep frags of all my SPS, sell off the colonies and sell the entire tank and system, except for a few things (might keep the chiller, etc) and use that money to buy the new tank. Figuring it'll set me back at least $1500 (probably closer to $2k) to have the tank done. I could order the glass from glasscages and build it myself too...but I'm a little leery since I've heard they don't polish their edges the way they should.

Clokerpoked I bet a tank that size just the glass would cost you in the neighborhood of 3000-3500 If you are looking for polished edges. Mine has polished edges just the glass bottom tempered (for large rocks) cost about 1850.

glasscages.com quotes a price of $1313 for a 4 foot square aquarium with 3 sides being starphire, and the reef ready kit.
Fishtankshop.com quotes the same (without the holes drilled in the bottom) at $2150.
I don't need the bottom to be tempered starfire glass, or even glass at all to be honest. I've seen some people with PVC bottoms, although to be honest I'm not sure if that's glass or acrylic tanks, and I'm not sure if that's more or less expensive.
Also, I don't need this tank to be rimless, which would enable it to be constructed of less sustantial thickness of glass, which jumps down the price quickly.
