Well i got some overview shot. At a strange angle because of reflection of the light. The tank looks huge from this angle.

I really hate curved tanks. It makes anything look slightly strange. Esp if you use a small curve like over here.

Also most magnets aren't made for that kind of glass. Using the easy blade (awsome tool) would be impossible.

It's not my best picture but well i just wanted to share it anyhow.

How's the ecorunner? Enough return for you?

Sorry about the really late reply. I tought i got mail when i got a response here.

Anyhow, yes more then enough. Running UV, Biopellets and Phosphate reactor from this. (i know fosfate reactor isn't needed with biopellets). And UV and biopellets could work against each other.

However i believe that UV + Biopellets won't hurt because the main amount of bacteria are inside the reactor and never touch the UV.

I also got a growth picture. The coral never ever grew. But at some point it started growing and within a few weeks it went from the one picture to the other one.

well it has been a long time.

Currently i haven't done too much to the tank. Soon i'll make some nice overview shots.

Anyhow i got one slight "problem" acro. Any idea's about what to do about it will be welcome.

Also i've started a fish quarantine system. I dip all frags. And i see little risk of introducing parasites for fish in there. However i've lost around 500€ worth of Fish duh to marine velvet about 9 months ago.

currently i got a Anampses neoguinaicus and 5 apogon-leptacanthus in quarantine.

I did however sin a bit before since i got a bellus angel (i've never seen them at a LFS before) and a wrasse. Both where sold when i didn't see any sick fish in the display tanks at the LFS.

Time for some photo's. The fluo green acro should be way brighter green.

Some people say LED's don't grow sps. Well i know these are fast growers. But still. Also other arcro's have grown but not as much as these two. Altough i also got other corals that get close to this growth but aren't as long in the tank.

Also keep in mind the monti plate has also been fraged twice when it was still quite small to get the curving going.

The latest change i've made is i've updated my tritron lights with the latest beta. And as stated in that thread i've lowered the white channels to 30 % (from 100%) the lamp power is now at 80%.

Hmm long time no posts.

Anyhow some update here as well

About 6 months ago i've had a small tank crash, my KH dropped too low. Lost 4 sps, including the millipora in the previous post.

Now colouring is hard to get back, but corals are growing again, and seem to be happy.

Also i've added to zebrasoma flavenses to my tank. Which seem to have been succesfull (i've had a xanturum in there already).

as said colors arent yet what they supposed to be, but corals grow really well.

hopefully i keep you guys updated a bit more.

Well it has been some time.

Nothing really changed, so only corals just grew more. I think i need about 1 more year to have a real beatifull tank.

One of he pretiest acan's i've ever seen and some growth form all the other corals.

I'm happy with how it goes. Nothing really to tell, just keep going. Dosing KH, CA and MG. Stop all the **** most people do. Keep it clean.

I just have somewhat a dirt issue with the amount of tiny sea stars. But hey, i'll just keep removing them when i change the water and they'll be gone in a few months.

Let me just put down a list of photo's. In some timely order (if there is any growth or something that is)

the pictures range from 29 december 2012 till now

DSC08560.jpg

A fish i've always wanted, at this point i lost one because of marine velvet (and about 400 euro's worth of other fish. Now i quarantine everything.

DSC08545.jpg

One of my favourite corals. really nice, i never see them in the shop over here any more for some reason. still an easy to keep coral (highly recommended for starters)

a pale strawberry shortcake when i got it.

DSC08808_2.JPG

My clam after i just got it. I guess it's in for about 1 year now(this picture is after 2 days or so)

20130520_134135.jpg

Growth shot of the shortcake you can clearly see it's turning more green.

DSC09232.JPG

Stylo. I don't have a growth shot of this one but now it's at least 4 times this size

3iC0Qciw0_8KGcTcMuJ2j9W6Hv7QBQr_4VvjZs1mHJs=w800-h616-no

The same monti you saw at the start. Really starting to take off.

DSC09397.jpg

Another stylo just green (this one for some reason does not grow...)
DSC09398.jpg

An acropora at the top of my tank, just started growing on the sides (took about 6 months to start)

DSC09405.jpg

Not the best photo but one of the pretiest corals. It's related to the blatomusa corals, just tiny polyps with a blue center. here in terrible shape.

DSC09407.jpg

After my tank was way to clean ( cleaning glass every two weeks ). My corals lost color. However my shortcake kept growing (in the background you can see the purple stylo of a few shots back grew a lot too)

DSC09668.JPG

After about 1.5 years i've introducted two yellow tangs. Off course some fighting occurred but they are happy now.
DSC09673.JPG

a real nice wrasse, however he will be going soon, since i can't insert any other wrasses or food compatitors. He's a real *****. I've already lost some wrasses because he kept attacking them esp at night and under the sand. I just noticed it too late.

DSC09691.jpg

Growth of the previous acro. And a purple like montipora.

(you can see the flow change and some gap from a KH drop wich cost me one or two corals)

DSC09700.jpg

A frag of one of my ausi acro's that was having some STN (stopped) the 4 frags in my tank are really taking off. Groing like mad. Ow well ;)

DSC09708.jpg

One of the only pretty decent overviews i've ever made.

DSC09794.JPG

another nice acropora with an open grow structure. It grows really tall from about 2 inch to about 10 inch long brances now.

DSC09807_1.JPG

One of my latest additions a gray blue acro.

DSC09866.JPG

my 5 year old acan it's really pretty esp when the tentacles are in. And on the bottom.

DSC09862.JPG

The last shot of the shortcake a little red. And the green is hard too see from this angle however it's pretty large now. Soon i'll be fragging of a bit and putting it higher on the opposite of the tank and see if i can grow out an other coral.

DSC09859.JPG

Got this one from a coral swap, about 4 monts go. Only the main branch was there, however it's hard to tell what the main branch was. All those 0.5 inch things on the top are new for sure.

DSC09959.JPG

The coral growth over a couple of months. Nothing really spectaculair but still decent.

DSC09965.JPG

One of the stange corals, some brances grow others just don't. ow well. The things i i think i should frag it to get some growth going.

DSC09966.JPG

And the montipora again. And i already fragged it some times. So it could have been bigger. Since i've added an extra pump it started to grow more compact. (which i like).

DSC09962.JPG

the same coral with just a few polyps from the start of the series.
DSC09977.JPG

my scolly

DSC09275.JPG

An older picture the same wrasse (that has to go out) in the left top corner you can see the coral which had STN (you can see it too) however it now grows pretty well.

DSC09359.JPG

Hopefully you like some bigger pictures. And some wrapping up. I personally enjoy this so i don't have to scroll trough all the pages.

well it became time for some new pictures.

Recently i got some really nice corals. Not something that you could not buy or really expensive just some corals that are common, but (at least here) rarely available for sale.
