2 6000's in a 75 gal to much

right now I have 2 6025's and 1 seio 1100 in my 75 + my return. I already have 1 6000 comming but was thinking of getting another 6000. I am prob. gonna wait for the new controller to come out as it is 100.00 less than the 7095's (sorry I am cheap). but my main question is would 2 6000's + my return be 2 much?

No it would not, they are highly adjustable and the max speed can be turned down to accomodate most needs. Maybe though consider 1 6000 you have coming and a 6055 for the other pump

I run two 6055's in my 72 gal (mostly softies and fish)

I run them at about 5-65% on a controller than runs them back and forth (wave action).

at 100% they are a bit much and the corals would not fully extend

wow thanks for all the info. The adjustable part is what I think I will like about these. so I will go with either the 2 6000's or the 1 6000 and 1 6055.

but now my question is, looking at ceegee's current tanks what is the 7085 multicontroller? I have heard of the 7094 and 7095 but never that one :)

CeeGee, I tried to PM you about your repair (cable) last week and your PM box was full. Please send a PM when your inbox is cleared.

Depends on your tank.

Mine is a BB, SPS 65gal and I run 2 6000's at 100%->30%

If you have sand they'd be way to much, if you have lps/softies they won't like it at all, probably die because they can't inflate/spread out.

I run 2 6000's on a 75 with an aquacontroller going 30-100% opposite to make a "wave". I also have a deep sand bed w/oolitic sized sand in that tank and no problems. I consider that a lower flow tank and is for my softies.

well, my tank does have about 2" of sand and is mainly SPS, except for a torch, candy cane, and a 13" diameter toadstool leather, clam and a few zoas.

as of now, while cleaning the 6025's and seio I only have the 6000 in the tank + return. the 6000 is turned all the way down and still makes the LPS on the other side move a little. but the sand stays in place which is a good thing.

Very nice Toadstool.

Thanks, he may be a plain coral to most but it is my fav. it was about the size of a quarter when we first got it.
