2 Ca reactors ?

Ok so I just got a new Reactor as a package deal with some other stuff I bought from a local reefer. The reactor media chamber is 24 inches tall, and 6 inches wide. I already had a smaller CA RX with 3-10x4 chambers.

My question is: is there any reason I should or shouldnt plum the two together? Or is that a waste?

Does the new Reactor have a pH port? If so I'd be tempted to use the old reactor as a second chamber. Is the old reactor a recirculating model? Or just flow through? Flow through would still work of course, but recirculating just increases the efficiency.

They are both recirculating models. But neither have a ph probe. I was thinking about drilling a spot for one, but if I do, is it better in the first or later stages?

You would want the pH probe in the first stage. Otherwise the pH could get too low in the first stage if you are monitoring the second stage or the effluent.
