2 Harlequin Tusks

If you can get any HT for under $120 or so. , its almost certainly not an Australian. Big difference. Not just appearance, But Aussie fish are very well caught & handled.

These two fish almost look like different species. BTW, where can you get an Australian tusk, any size, for $120? That' really a deal!

Not too far off from $120. Medium 4-7 in.

FYI - sale on medium size Aussie Tusks on LA. I do not work for them, but look forward to receiving my first Tusk on Tuesday!

You'll be surprised how shy he is at first and it takes a while for them to become bolder. You'd think a big, robust fish with blue teeth would soon become the alpha fish, but they don't. I've never seen a pic that does justice to these beautiful fish. Enjoy!

I have been looking forward to getting a Tusk since I first had my tank built. Thanks for the input - I have heard that about them as well.:beer:

You guys seem knowledgeable about Tusks, would I have an issue with adding one to a tank that has clownfish, scooter blennies and firegobies?

Never have issue with it being aggressive on other tank mates except on shrimp also with each other after a established tusk settle. I tried to pair them with no luck

Depending on size, probably lunch for the tusk. Its never a good idea to keep very small fish with large carnivores.

no the suplyer had 8 i bought 2 who loved each other buy i wanted to change the tank into eels so sold em a while ago

Got one HT last week from LA. Not the Aussie! Ate brine shrimp first hour! Ate pellets & silversides first day! Just order another one from LA med 4 to 7 inch (Aussie) on sale for $109. Could not pass up a HT Aussie med size for $109 will get it Tuesday 5/21/13 will let ya know how it looks & how it eats compared to the one I got last week!

Wondering the same, wanted to add one but if it ate my wife's lawnmower blenny there would be heck to pay. Tank size probably matters not, but the tank is a lightly stocked 320 gallon.

I'm going to put him in a 55gl QT with my Achilles goldrim hybrid after QT I'm thinking of putting the 2 HT together and see how they do! If it don't work out I will move one to another tank! I have (3) Achilles with a PBT and a black spot tang! They all do fine! In my other DT I have a black tang (2) purples a yellow and a blue tang all of them get alone also! So I might get lucky! All fish are different so ya never know! But I will keep ya posted! Aussie HT will be here in the morning!

LA has them email only! Size said med 4 to 7 but mine is 8 inch and looks great very very thick! He is larger than the one listed today on DD! The DD cost $249 mine is larger and was $109. I have never seen one this large and bright colors! He will even let me touch him! I was cleaning the glass and he swam to my hand and I touched him and he did not swim away! Then he took a silverside from my hand! Can't believe LA sent one this big & this thick for $109 I was expecting a 4 or 5 inch HT Aussie
