I am going to wait a few days before feeding my haddoni that just got out of treatment (he has settled back nicely and mouth staying relatively closed). I think I am going to try and give him some food either Thursday or Friday. I have my mated pair of clowns who were rather hard on the anemone when he wasn't at his best (they are kind of big and they are cinnamon clowns) and I am sure they were a cause of stress to make matters worse for the haddoni. Right now they are living in my sump (it's about 70 gallons) and has rock and marine plants with 2x 65 watt t5s and 2x 65 watt cfls.

So my first question is would you allow the same clowns back in the display with the now hopefully healthy large haddoni or would you not even risk it because of their history (they did live with him for almost a whole year while he had his inverted bubble mouth)?

My second question is, can I put a rbta or condi anemone in my sump with clowns so they can have a home (I feel bad for moving them out) or can it cause problems with chemical warfare between the carpets in the dt and whatever non-carpet anemone I put in the sump?

Do not get them all bound up on a new anemone because you feel bad.

On the first question, I would wait another week and then let them back in. It gives it time to get its foot planted and work out any issues before getting 'loved' by them.

Sounds good and yeah buying an anemone for them will probably just cause a problem/ something unneeded. But just is it possible that they were the cause he got sick before since they are rather hard on him? When he wasn't at his best/ ate slowly, I watched them pull food from his mouth and tentacles and in order for him to eat many time I would have to scare them away for a few minutes.

I do remember when he also wasn't at his best they would hit him very hard/ snuggle up to him really hard - my guess (on the optimistic side) is they were trying to help him perk up.

In other words, I want to put them back in, but I am also worried to put them back in because those cinnamon clownfish "love" the anemone too much and may cause him extra stress and not a proper symbiotic relationship.

And here he is as of now

It looks pretty good. What does it look like in white light? As in the coloring?

The blue offsets it a bit.

I would say that their loving is a way to perk it up and also stimulate it also, yes.

Sometimes they are harder than normal though.

He is pretty red with a few orange tentacles near his mouth (always been that way) this is a pic with no light and just flash - he's under 400 watt 20k radiums so that's where the blue is coming from
