2 Tunze 6095 for a 75 gallons SPS tank?

Hello Everyone,

Currently I am running a 75 gallons tank with a lot of SPS. I was thinking of ordering 2 Tunze 6095 with controller 7096. Would the 2 tunze 6095 be enough for my tank (48"x18"x21"H). Would a 6095 push enough water across a 4 feet tank?

By the way, I can buy 2 x 6105 also and its only 142 dollars (10% off at a vendor website) more but I was thinking it might be too powerful for my tank.

Some comments or suggestions would be great.

Thanks

What pumps do you run now and are you happy with the flow or do you want more?

You really could go either way, generally I would recommend the 6095's but I can imagine needing the 6105's and running them turned down on a tank that was really established and just packed full of higher flow SPS. If it is smaller SPS and a lot are montis or lower flow SPS and some LPS though, the 6095's are the way to go.

Well I was running 6 koralia 1050 but two of them broke down and now another is making noises. I like the flow when I had 6 of them. I guess my main questions is whether or not the 6095 could push water to the other end of a tank with 4 feet length?

Yes, on a wider tank it would not but because the tank is narrow the flow will channel and carry the full length.

I have 2 6095's in a 75, as well as two older turbelle powerheads. The 6095's are on either side, angled to the front glass. The powerheads are on either side, pushing water across the top of the tank. I've run it with just the 6095's as well, and they do a fine job in a 4 foot tank.
