20" Won PSL 150 Metal Halide HQI Hood

Says on your site in includes a 14000Ã"šÃ‚° K Double ended metal halide lamp.

Would it be possibly for you to sub outhe 14k HQI and instead ship me a 150w 20k XM bulb instead? Or even ship it to me with no bulb and I'd buy that seperate.

I see XM is hellolights's house bulb.

If you don't sell these, would it be possible then to just buy the fixture without the bulb?

HI,

The won hood is a complete package deal, it's shipped from the factory and they prepackage them in a wood crate, so would be difficult to get them to remove the bulb, but i'm sure they will do it, but iw ould recommend keeping the bulb because i doubt it would save you much to have it removed.

FYI, I just lowerd the prices on all the Won hoods today and they now also have 250watt.

We do carry XM lamps as well.

Sorry to bump in on this post, Im thinking of getting a WON brothers 150watt HQI fixture...

The bulb description says 14,000K full spectrum.

Jason do you know who manufactures the HQI bulb? does WON make it? any experiences with the 14k bulb, or seen them in action?

Hi,

I'm not sure who the actual manufacture is, probably same people that make the hood, it is all imported. I seen them in action at the tradeshow and i was pretty impressed with them. it's not german quality, but it's very solid looking and looks like a very good option for the price.

Jason: THX for the reply, is there any bulb that you can think of that looks the same? a 10k AB, or a 10kUshio, 20kAB, Radium 20k?

How do you describe the color and intensity of the bulb?

Hard for me to say the color because they didn't have them setup over a tank, but they seemed fairly white in color, so i would say the AB 10K, but color memory is hard, i could be mistaken. I think it would be a fairly white bulb though.
