Here's your skimmer's baby brother that Scott built for me:) You're gonna love it once it is hooked up! I've only had mine on the system for a little under 12 hours and I'm pretty pumped to see what kind of skimmate it pulls:rollface:

NOW I feel totally under skimmed!

You're not underskimmed, you un-overskimmed. Big difference. :D :D

no flipping way!!!!!! that thing is HUGE!! what sized tank is this going on? and how many gallons that skimmer hold?

are you worried about it not performing up to par as it won't be really testing the skimmers capacity?

spazz you are a freaking genius

Lunchbucket

Thank you for the kind words. The main display is 560g tank the total volume is 2000g . I would like to overstock so i'm not woried about it under performing.

What are your temps hovering at right now with lights on and all??

77.6-77.8 off and 78.4-78.6 on

I appreciate the compliment but my skimmer is no where near the quality of a SPAZZ skimmer. I do take some pride in that I built it myself, but that was only because I couldn't get one from Scott.

Nice temps. That bodes well for the future. My tank is at 77.5F with the lamps off right now.

 It's not a question of winning, it's a question of having the best unit you can afford that fits your husbandry practices, right? And now I want to modify my skimmer...I'll be doing it in January (hopefully) and I think I will once again approach Skimming Happiness! :)

is that anything like" being one with your skimmer"? if that is the case your starting to scare me. we gotta get you out more :D

I think it would be fun to own a gaint square skimmer that pukes up some nasty sludge.

So every time some one pops up in the DIY section and says "Square skimmers never work" or "air driven skimmers those are SO weak"

You just light them up with some nog pics and they get very quiet....priceless:lol:

That and having a skimmer that is large enough to need its own algae magnet:lol:

Any nog yet nyvp?

That is great. I wonder how much of a bump you are going to get when we get the real FL heat back.;)

nyvp: Hey I get out! I just got back from the Puget Sound Aquarium Society Holiday Party dammit! :D

Covey: No sheet!

Well after some long hrs its almost done just need one more trip to HD for 2" flex. I have 2 2" bulkheads in my overflow that had to be split for the skimmer so had to do some getto work.

Takes up most of my fish room
