is it possible to do a garage sale on the sidelines at a frag swap? not sure if that' s been done in the past but i have a lot of stuff to move (free and for sale)

KMP if nothing else you may want to set up a seperate thread of what you have for sale at that you can bring it to the frag swap for those interested in buying them....

I think side trades/sales have pretty much always been apart of the frag swaps.

Casalt from what I have read, there is no buy in, only bringing in frags. The only thing you are buying is lunch.

Since I'm unemployed I'll be able to make the meeting and renew my membership. I have about four frags already in my tank so I could pick up a couple more.

Kenny, as Twisted stated you can start a thread to sell your stuff here and just deliver at the swap. I am sure you will have no problems finding buyers with so many people attending.

Thanks for all the input folks, and the offers to help. Putting on one of these events is not easy, and does take a lot of work and coordination, so I appreciate all the encouragement and help.

In an attempt to keep this thread clean and not add confusion for people looking for details, I do cordially ask that if you have feedback or ideas regarding the mechanics and the rules of future swaps, please use other avenues/threads/PMs to discuss those items. Those discussions are more than encouraged, but our highest priority at the moment is to get through this one first.

Questions about the swap and its associated details are definitely encouraged! The swap committee (Paul, Pete or myself) pay close attention to this thread and will be sure to provide you an answer to any question you have. Viva el Swap!

Perhaps it is time to start a new thread with the address, date, "rules", etc right at the top so that anyone who doesn't want to read 5 pages can get straight at it. We can always link into this thread for historical context from the new thread?

Most excellent idea Pete. I am planning on putting together our flier here soon with all the specifics, so the timing might work out well. You should see the fliers popping up at the LFS, online at CL, our website, and of course here on RC.

And when Paul puts on the MARS fish suit to pass the fliers out at the Mall to all the kids, I'll be sure to take a picture for our album. Mr. Public Relations is going to reach out to the public like no past PR officer has done before.

Yes, they all count if they are non- green yumas. 1 large or 2 small. Please note that these must be yumas and not ricordia Floridas.

If I bring my wife with me who is not a member of a club will she be able to participate in the swap after paying the required $9 admission fee and plus the 3 min frags?

The fee is 12 dollars at the door or 9 dollars prepaid.

Perry, that is a good and fair question and I will talk it over with Mike and Pete and get back to you. BAR doesn't have a family membership? ( Just curious.... not meant to start any negativity )
