We have an official topic:

We will be meeting again on MArch 19th at the UCO venue.

The topic will be water quality.

There will be two short presentations, the first will be the pros and cons of RoDi water. aWhy its important to have good water quality as a basis for your saltwater.

The seciond talk will be water chemistry, a very simple overview of what you need to test, how to test and what you need to do to corect any imbalance.

AS always, there will be a door prize for members,

Hope you can make it,

A few years back my buddy, RC name PeaceinUSA, did some studying on OKC water and ran a couple of threads. The information he posted was grim for those of us wanting to keep reefs in Central Oklahoma and use tap water.

So this is another great topic to help get your tank in line for fish and corals. Even if you have been in the hobby a few years, I think you'll find this these 2 topics valuable.

Who can check out corals and How do I get mine

Pertaining to the donor program:

1) the rule of 5:

In order to help have frags available for everyone,
we request you not have out more than 5 frags at any one time. If you have out 5 and return 3 (of the frags you checked out, not other donations) you may check out 3 more.

2) receiving corals from the donor program:

1) you need to be a current year paid COMAS member;

2) you need to have a stable tank with
the appropriate equipment/lighting to keep the frag alive;
<O:p
3) you need to be willing to grow the frag until it propogates naturally
or you can frag it, then bring a frag back to the program;<O:p</O:p

4) you need to be willing to return the corals you haven't fragged if you break down your tank;<O:p</O:p

5) please inform the fragmaster if you loose a coral (hey, it happens);<O:p</O:p

6) you are encouraged to join those that help keep this program going by donating to the program as you trim frags from your tank(s).

I love this guy. Came into the tank last month.
Fluffed right up and blows around in the current.
Loves to eat. In the same family as frog spawn.

I cannot wait to get my tanks set up! You have some of the prettiest corals and I look forward to seeing what else you pull out of your hat each month. :-D

On behalf of the club, thank you.
Each coral is a donation from a club member.

Purple pavona my fav so far

Would you like this frag?

I would love a piece of blue xenia if it is available. I need colors to offset the green corals. ;-P

This frag is yours.......
