2015 Dream Tank Giveaway

nice keep us posted on the 1 gal. NSW change.
I am dreaming up, well my dream tank ( 500+) I was thinking of NSW.
cant wait to see this up and running

Well, I guess I need to specify that NSW to me is New Saltwater, meaning I make RO/DI and add salt. I wish I was close enough to gather saltwater from the ocean. We are 3 hours drive from Galveston but I wouldn't put that sludge in my enemies tank. :P

Never have I been more frustrated with PVC than I was yesterday. The plan was to install a simple T in my water softener feed. I realized it was cpvc after I cut the line so back to Home Depot. Home Depot does not carry 1 inch cpvc fittings so off to Lowes. I did not realize that cpvc required special glue, so after the first blood it was back to Lowe's to pick up some quick fittings. After it dried overnight, with no water in the house, I got it turned on this installed this morning.

Looks great doesn't it???

I made three trip to HD yesterday for parts to hook up a ice maker line for my fridge.

First I didnt measure the distance to the pipe so did not get enough Pex
Second I had to go back and get some fittings
third I went back to get different fittings and more pex

And yet I never measure the pipe I was about to cut so tonight I have to return and buy larger fittings since the pipe is 3/4 where I need to cut it as opposed to the 1/2 it is reduced to a few joists over where I had initially looked.

though then again I am in middle of kitchen remodel so if I am not at Home Depot at least every other day something has gone horribly wrong. LOL

Tank, stand, sump and canopy are essentially done. Just need to coordinate my schedule for delivery. I'm hoping that they can be shipped on Monday (27th) and I'll receive it later in the week.

Hoping for some final pictures soon as well.

Got a teaser stand pic. Looks great and matches the doors in the house perfectly.

Got more pics of the tank and several of the sump from Felix.

Plumbing will be blue and black, hence the blue highlights on the sump

if I were in the room with you I would start the needed slow clap that builds up to the roaring clap. The tank and sump look great and with having waited nearly a year to get them built and ready to get to you they appear well worth the wait.

Ha. Good thing I didn't start the slow clap in Sept huh? Might have needed some extra lotion.

Well worth the wait. Chris and Felix have been great to work with.
