Man, you guys are slacking! It's less than a week away!

Due to my $100K, 1 year vacation to Virginia, I lost a lot of my hunting grounds. I still have a small 32 acre piece and I got permission to hunt a 25 acre spot right down the road that backs up to several thousand acres of private land.

Good luck to all of you!

A week away, down here in Florida we started last week. Got meat in the freezer already. Now I'm going to be patient and wait for a nice buck.

So I decided to put on a different sight and switch to a shorter release. That's always a good idea just before the season.

I spent 4 hours at the indoor range yesterday. I had one guy staring at me for about 5 minutes before he finally got the nerve to ask "why in the world are you sitting down when you shoot?".
I looked at him and said, "I shoot from inside my car a lot". He got the funniest look on his face.

I dropped a half inch off my draw length. Bows at the shop now. Nothing like changing things up at the last second.

I shortened my draw by a half inch early this year. It barely changed my pins at all.

Grrr. Last semester of school, i can't have tags in my pocket. Too much temptation. Leaves changing, salmon running, i'm a grumpy sob. Might play hooky and run the dogs once or twice. My son got drawn for two hunts, broke his arm and probably won't heal in time.

Ohhh.... I'm here. I bought a new to me Bear Attack for this season. New bow, release, quiver, rest, sight, and stabilizer. I changed the draw length on it this past weekend, but I think I need to change it back again. I've got Friday off, so I'll be hunting Friday and Sunday.

I didn't even get the trail camera set up this year. My wife gave birth to our second child in July, so we've been ridiculously busy this summer. Good luck everyone!

Just got the green light for the opener, without asking I might add! Might be tight, but I'll be out if I can tomorrow. Otherwise, Saturday evening sit will be my start to the 2015 season. Nowhere to go but up after last season. Bit of a rough one.

Up here in my stand. I got in a little late, but at least I'm here. I only have about 3-4 hours though, before I have to get back to town. Hopefully I have a little early luck.

No luck this morning, but great luck this afternoon...

No, I haven't gotten a deer, but out of the blue, right place right time, I just got permission to hunt 100 acres that connects to thousands! I am stoked. I am going to scout it tomorrow evening.

Nice! I had a guy 150 yards away come in at like 5pm. Then he was using a bleat can and a grunt tube. Left around 6 PM. Absolutely absurd. I saw didley, but heard a deer blow on my way out. At least they were close by... The opener is always interesting. Won't be going back to that spot anytime soon.

Tough tough year for me.....will probably be the first season I have ever missed. Little heart broken over it, so will have to live vicariously thru you guys

Got one decent one on camera. Saw a couple skippers, and does, might wait it out for big guy

I'm on the board. Got a decent doe tonight. Deer were really moving around. Saw 6 or 7 tonight. When I shot the one doe, a ton took off. The foliage is really making my spots thick.

Congrats....always nice to have some meat in the freezer. Obviously haven't made it to the woods but does seem like a ton of leaves still up.....needs a couple good frosts to help pull them down. Looked like would have been a miserable sit with all the wind and rain but still better than sitting in the house

Congrats!
I mostly shoot doe. I'm not much of a trophy hunter. I prefer to fill the freezer. I am going this evening. I've been so busy with setting up a new plowing route, that I haven't had much woods time. Gotta get out there.
Again, congrats.
