210 build PIC INTENSE

well that was quick.....i guess i dont need to do that since what i just read from reefkeeping states "Stable systems that do not contain high levels of NO3 and PO4 may not benefit to any great extent by employing carbon source dosing."

i started to get interested when i read that it increases coral coloration, skimmer output, and clearer water. But if that is all a result of reducing P04 and NO3 then it wouldnt help me much.

side note: i think my flame hawkfish killed one of my anthias and my flame angel is really starting to nip at corals too.....da** flamers!!

Here is what Eric Borneman said about vodka dosing " Long story short, it works by increasing bacteria which can deplete oxygen, change the normal immune and nutrient providing normal coral microbial flora, change the entire functioning microbial community in the tank, is correlated with coral disease, and can kill your tank. All to reduce nutrients which, if the tank is set-up right, shouldn't have that problem and if it is not, could be safely and easily fixed with water changes."

update:
two sun corals....more too come...like fifty!!
electric flame scallop....more too come.
two more acros
fragged the giant colt again...two large pieces

Sometimes i think i am being to picky....because as soon as I see the fish pick on someone even one time I freak out and usually the fish is gone after that. This time I decided to leave the flame angel and just keep an eye on the corals...so far he has not done any noticeable damage.

Just keep a good eye on him. Mine almost wiped out my Acan, Micromussa, and Favia. And he did wipe out my Stylophora, and an encrusting monti. I just kept hoping he would stop, but I will never do that again. If you notice any of your coral acting funny, watch out for him picking.

flame scallop is doing good except he moves a lot and is right now somewhere where you never see him unless you really look.
