210 build PIC INTENSE

It sure does lower phosphates, and you will notice your corals will color up better, and grow faster. The idea of ferric oxide and alcohol is to eliminate phosphate before any algea can use it to grow, Your tank will really look alot better. It also helps with your calcium by eliminating more of it before it has a chance to bind with the calcium. I would suggest giving it a try, start lite and increase slowly over a couple of months untill you see it giving u more difference in the health and apperence of your tank, then back it off a little bit and stay there, trust me, I have a 56 gallon system with all acros in it and it has made a world of difference, I reccomend this to you because of all the corals you have and you still have a considerable ammount of nusiance algea, youll love how much better your coral will look!
 
it must be that i need a new camera because i have no algae problems at all.....unless you consider macro in my fuge a problem...lol.
i prefer to do things on the more natural way....when possible thats why the fuge, for nitrate and phosphates. Big skimmer for heavy fish load....and feed heavy to keep everything happy.

I was only frustrated with all the bull... I am not adding any more fish.
and i never even said two tangs.... it really frustrates me when people want to rip on me and cant even quote me correctly....

Most will never live that long and are not in a display tank that can handle them. But size aside I think in your infinite wisdom you have forgotten the waste that all of these fish will produce. Which I am sure that you will retaliate with I HAVE THE MOST ENORMOUS SKIMMER MONEY can buy and being that you just added an RO/DI to your system I am curious to know if you know what a water change is.

I have stated before that your tangs that you so dearly love are OPEN WATER SWIMMERS, they need a large body of water to be comfortable. It is not so bad to have one maybe two but to just stack them on top of each other is careless. Brother you need to start looking at the long BIG picture with your tank. Over crowding and poor water quality will be the result with a heavy large fish load. Not to mention the decrease in available swimming room when your expensive corals grow and eat up that real estate. The thing that I think most people are upset about here EM is the long BIG picture that you seem to not be thinking of. We all want our tanks to succeed but when given sound advice you throw it to the wayside.

And I have personally removed a 15" Sohal tang from a 240 gallon so please do not question the fact that these fish can reach large sizes in the HOME AQUARIA, the fish is now in the display aquarium in Monterey .
 
I am thinking of setting up a large tank in the future. As of now a 120, but I was also thinking of a 210, thats why I asked about length because I was not sure. How many tangs could comfortably fit in a 210?

YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO OPEN YOUR EYES AND READ APPARENTLY!!! I DONT HAVE A SOHAL TANG....SO DONT COMPARE MY TANGS TO WHICH DO NOT GET THAT BIG....PERIOD.

DID I USED TO HAVE AN ALGAE PROBLEM....DEPENDS ON WHOS ASKING. I SAY NO BECAUSE I KNOW IT IS ONLY PART OF SETTING UP A NEW TANK.

BY THE WAY THE SMALL PATCH OF ALGAE...THE TANGS FINISHED OFF THIS WEEK.

WHAT PEOPLE DONT SEE IS THAT THERE IS NO ONE RULE ON HOW MANY TANGS YOU CAN HAVE IN ANY SPECIFIC SIZE TANK.
IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW YOU SETUP YOUR TANK, WHAT ELSE IS GOING IN WITH THEM, WHAT KIND OF TANGS, SIZE OF TANGS, AND OTHER FISH. HOW MUCH LIVE ROCK, LIVE SAND, CRABS, SNAILS, AND SO ON....

IT HAS TO ALL BE PRE-THOUGHT OUT AND THEN YOU CAN DO ALMOST ANYTHING.... JUST BE PREPAIRED TO TAKE CRAP FROM PEOPLE WHO CANT DO IT THEMSELVES!!!!

Obviously the only way for you to get your point across is to yell. In all that I wrote the only thing you could see was the size thing again. I was trying to reference the fact that tangs do get substantially large in the home aquaria. I was not trying to compare the tangs, if you interpreted that then my apologies but yes your yellow tangs can get very big .......period. You might want to pick up a book or two and do some research. As for the money part that was a dig on my part, my apologies, but you have made reference to money more than once. Please settle down and read these posts with a clear head. When someone posts things for you to consider they shouldn't have to worry about being attacked. Again my main point being in my other post was the longevity of your tank. Think about it and try to build and stock your tank for the long term.

WOW...AND YOU TELL ME ABOUT FISH... YOU DONT SEE ME BUYING ANY FISH THAT I HAVE TO GIVE AWAY BECAUSE I CANT KEEP THEM HAPPY. WHY DID YOU BUY A FISH THAT CLEARLY IS GOING TO OUT GROW YOUR TANK. YOU MUST NOT CARE ABOUT THIS HOBBY AT ALL.....

NOT TO MENTION THAT FISH IS ONE OF THE MOST AGGRESSIVE TANGS....I WONDER HOW MUCH I COULD PICK APART THAT TANK. POINT OUT ALL THE THINGS YOU DID WRONG.

Caps lock off...:( No need to resort to yelling and name calling...

Just keep posting on the changes in the build and let people have their opinion as they will and there's nothing you can do about it. Some like the more natural look that has some algae in the tank while others don't. It's all personal preference. You have made leaps and bounds so far, some people just keep attacking. Just ignore them as an arguing match won't accomplish anything other than stress people out.

Did you get the black tang yet? It will be interesting to see if it would fight with the yellows as they are drastically different colors but they are same shape. Hopefully they will like each other and get along well. You can never predict what they will do until they are in the tank. If you want to give them time to get used to the yellows I do have a acclimation box that fits inside the tank that you can borrow for a bit.

When are you fragging those gorgoans? (hint hint ;))
