210 build PIC INTENSE

I've read through this entire thread over the last few days. It was amusng/sad at first...I wish you could have saved what instead died in vain...but whatever, lesson leaned. And to see your tank going the way it is now I am very pleased to applaud you on the turn around! Tank looks great and i'm subscibed and following.

I would not advise killing a GSM... but a rubber band and a bamboo skewer is an effective spear.

I might try a beaker upside down like a box trap in the GSM little area.

LOL....thats funny!

I am going to do some hunting tonight because this stupid GSM is stirring up the sand so much its really starting to bother some corals! I tried to net him while eating out of my hand and missed! Now he wont eat from my hand anymore and its been a week since then. This fish is really starting to tick me off!!!

Try a tiny fish hook. Seriously I have seen it work before. But obviously you will need a small hook and some Mysis or something.

well the fishing is not going so well!!! i hooked him once but i am using barbless looks and he got off right away because i got excited and hit my light while trying to hook him. Now he wont bite!!!

i need to update my pics....the tank looks a lot different. I have added a ton of corals lately and all the old ones have grown a lot too. Less fish, and i haven't scraped the coraline algae in a long time.

I have a couple questions:
My star polyps are growing onto the base of some acros and one is getting killed by them...do you think they will continue to grow up and around the acro and completely kill them?
Some mushrooms are doing that also but no signs of damage from them yet!
Do you think scraping coraline off the glass...and i mean a entire back wall of it, will in turn make your calcium go up if and when the coraline dies?

I am so picky with coral placement and the worst part is when things start to grow and then kill something next to them....i think i might have to trim the grass(star polyps) a little!

oh....another thing... in my experience when part of a coral dies it doesnt grow in that directions anymore....and with me being so impatient i usually chip off the dead part and then it starts growing again....but if i dont do anything will it do it on its own?
