Video link below. This post is a bit overdue IMO. Hope you all enjoy. I'll try to post a similar video of my 93 gal cube, which is more of a mixed reef, but of course has some nice nems.

Anemones Include:

Purple/Blue Tip Green Magnifica

Red Base Purple with Yellow Tip Magnifica

Purple Base Green Magnifica

Purple with Green Tip Magnifica

Multicolor Gigantea

Red Haddoni

Neon Green Haddoni

Many Rose Bubble Tip Clones

Very very nice. Those Rbta's look like a bunch of plump red grapes :)

It's interesting to see how some magnifica's are blasted with flow (and happy) while the one at the center is happy with little flow.
I have a multicolor purple gig, but unlike yours it seems to prefer low/moderate flow.

The different flow conditions are pretty interesting and I think shows that mags are actually pretty adaptable in that regard. The flow in the tank is very random and when the MP40s on reef crest sync just right, the mag in the middle gets blown around pretty well, but nothing like the mags on either end. I think its the light they crave more than flow, as each is parked right under a 400W halide. With regard to flow, I think the ticket may actually be the high oxygen concentration found in flow-rich environments, not necessarily flow directly on the anemone.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. This tank sort of evolved in this direction on its own. In a former life, the the tank was SPS dominated, until a tank crash wiped out everything but the red Haddoni, RBTAs and some zoas. With all the new real estate I just slowly added what I thought were exceptional nems as they became available. All but one of the mags came from local LFSs. The purple with green tip mag came from a buddy of mine who took down his tank (thanks Ballr). The RBTAs originate from a single specimen I obtained about three years ago. The gig came from a local reefer. The red haddoni was purchased from a local LFS.

Your anemone dominated tank is awesome. What has been your experience in losing fish consumed by your anemones? I wonder if the non clowns get a bit nervous. As many fish sort of drift through tanks at night, I worry about some drifting into sticky tentacles.

I have only lost one or two fish to the red haddoni early in. But haven't lost another in years.

Excellent anemone dominated tank. With all the different type of anemone, do you have to do anything special as I heard different species may put out chemical warfare. Mostly the BTA and the gigantea.

It's about time this was posted. Also, remember you are just babysitting.
