215 starphire inwall build

I've had water in it for about a week now. Any tips I should now on cycling the tank would be appreciated. I did work on building a water change station yesterday. Still need to finish up numerous little projects.

I add a small CUC and they seemed to be doing fine so I added a couple Chromis. So far things look good. I still haven't seen an algae bloom but that might come now that I have a little load.

Your tank is looking great. I get to start on my 215 this weekend. Going to pick everything up Sat. I love the way you have your rock set up. How much rock and sand do you have? Could you post some pics of you change out when you get it done. I have figured out how I am going to do mine yet.

Hello Engine8ff

I have around 200lbs of rock and about 90lb. of sugar fine sand. I would avoid the sugar fine though. Vortechs like to play in it.

Forgive my ignorance I'm not sure what your asking here.

Thanks

Not much going on. Just waiting for frags to grow!

Here's a few room shots to see how the tank is postioned in the room.

You have a fantastic setting for observing your reef. But you have the sofa facing the wrong direction. Rotate 90 degrees please.... :)

Thanks for the compliments. The basement was a big project. It's nice to finally be stocking the tank.

"That is a super nice basement..... The TV looks small in there though, time for projection!!!"

lol. I agree that the tv is a little small for the room but the wife was adamant it was fine. The next room over is the theater room.
