220 Gal Build for a 700 gallon system (STRS)

Got a few frags of sps to test the stability of my system.
Green Bottle Brush

Blue Tenius

I love the polyps on this thing cant wait to see how it looks after I find a good spot and epoxy it down.

Yeah the tips are dark blue/purple while the body is a tealish color. Ill take another photo of it in a few weeks to get a color comparison.

Always wanted a Red Goni and after seeing a few in person I decided to give this one a shot.
?
Where did you get this from? Do you mind saying what you paid? I've only see a couple in LFSs, but thought their prices were kind of high.

I found a big, toxic green one at Saltwater Paradise for a good price, but I'm passing back through Buffalo today and they're closed.

Anyway, nice piece, let us know what it needs to keep it happy.

I got it from DD for $120 i believe ORA coral prices are fixed from store to store so it should be the same price at most stores. Ill let you guys know how well it does so far it seems very happy :)

Are you looking for species name or trade name? Both of those are corals without any linage besides my shop so hints no special names. Both are echinopora sp.

Haha, whatever you want to call them. Like I said their linage is yet to be determined. They are now just starting to get their captive growth forms, which could make it a totally different coral.

Figure its time for updates. Due to my love for sps growing more and more Ive decided its time to try metal halides while still keeping my leds for the pop on lps corals. After alot of research and comparing tanks that i still admire to this day i decided to go with 400 watt metal halides with Ushio 14k bulbs. This fixtures are pretty wide being 24x24 footprint so it was a challenge to find a way to have the 3 radions and the halides be on the same tank with out extensive blockage of the leds. (Ill have a pic of this shortly)

With the purchase of metal halides of course I had the perfect excuse to get a few sps corals to test out since ive never had extensive fast growth with sps corals under leds besides Stylos and Pocilloporas so I purchased an Austera ,Formosa and a Cerealis for this purpose. After a few months ill take companion growth shots of these 3.

Got myself a small maxima clam a few months ago from a friend getting out of the hobby and I love it Def one of those corals i underestimated the beauty of until I owned one.

Cant go to a frag swap without buying corals!! Got myself some Fruit Loops from ABC Reef def one of my fav color popping corals in my tank now.

Got a golden torch mini colony around 4 months ago. After several attempts Ive given up on getting a good photo of it. Even with editing the yellow seems so off so if anyone has tips on how to do a better job let me know :). Under leds this coral is by far the most yellow thing in my tank.

Due to my buddy getting out of the hobby he gave me an offer i simply couldnt refuse to buy all his equipment tank stand and canopy so you know what that means...Yup thats right another tank is in my home. (yes I have a problem). Its lighting is Vho and metal halides but for the past few months ive only been doing the vhos due to the light bill increase from the metal halides on my main tank. This tank is pretty much going to be dedicated to Anemones soft corals and a few random things. In terms of fish going into this tank im thinking Anthias.

Youll be the first to know J Bones i actually have 2 frags but im waiting for them to be fully healed and growing before I put them up for sale.
