220 Gal Build for a 700 gallon system (STRS)

We had to add the sand a few days after we placed the rock coral and fish in since it came later than expected

This rosecap use to be huge but it got broken down quite a bit due to shading of corals not to mention we couldnt take the thing out of the 180 with out breaking some pieces off... Top right is a wallet for a size reference

Hooked up my Radions few days ago. Im starting off with 3 might add another one if im not satisfied with the middle column getting enough light.

This was my old lighting schedule from my previous tank. I notice some decent growth in my corals but with the expense of some color during the common viewing hours I plan on trying something more simple this time around to see how it compares with growth and color.

Time to give some updates my old tank had 75x turn over which I believed contributed to the continued health/growth of my sps corals. So for this tank I plan to achieve roughly the same amount of turn over with that magic number being 75.To achieve this im adding mp40's 3 now and 1 more later after i finalize the positioning of these pumps.

For the operations of the pump ive liked reef crest alot but im currently in debate about trying Gyre or lagoon. Heres the discription of what reef crest and lagoon mode do for those inquiring

(In random mode you can toggle between two different modes, Reef-Crest and Lagoonal. When a pump is in Lagoonal Random Mode, the dial is used to set the maximum operational speed, and the driver will automatically randomize the pumps output to simulate either a high (Reef-Crest) or low (Lagoonal) energy reef environment. If this pump is a master, the associated slave pumps will replicate the master in sync or anti-sync modes. )

As for positioning of these pumps I have one on each of my side panels centered at the upper portion of my glass where the majority of my sps corals are. Since these pumps have approx a 3.25 ft max head I put the 3rd pump in the center of the back glass to help with the lack of flow in the center of the tank. As i get another mp40 I plan on moving the 2 mp40's to be 16 inches apart from the center back panel in reef crest or lagoon mode in anti sync with the side glass mp40's. Heres a picture of the display drivers in nighttime mode which id indicated by a grey light flashing with the pumps being at 50%

I also got the battery back up for the pumps. In a nut shell if the power ever goes out it kick starts pumps to operate in an energy saving mode which will last up to 36+ hours with a single mp40 pump approx half that when running 2 on it.

I forgot to mention when the power is out the display models of the pumps will mode the led indicator to the far right side and flash green letting you know its in the battery saving mode.

Time for some updates i wasnt satisfied with the amount of rock i had so i decided to add an additional 40lbs of pukani dry rock.

Got a new magnet I highly encourage you guys to try this thing out if you think mag o floats aren't up to par. This thing is amazing and is definitely worth the investment.

Here's my attempt of taking pics of sps but i cant get decent ones with out the blue hue. Any tips on how to make these a little easier to see would be great.
