You could jack it up slightly and insert a large ball bearing or even a marble, lower and nudge around. Then jack up and remove ball bearing.

Ah, yes... when we were putting in the underground tank, people were speculating that it was a bomb shelter. Folks have no idea what the aquarium is. One of our elderly neighbors is convinced we are building a private hospital!

I can build furniture so nicely jointed that in dry run assembling it holds together without clamps or glue, but torches and welders scare me...I haven't used an oxy torch since year 9 'shop (I guess I was 15). At least an angle grinder reminds me of a circular saw!:fun5:

this is looking amazing cant wait till its done. im just wondering who built this for you and if its a private job (are you doing it all youself?), has anyone helped develope your plans along the way? also are you sourcing livestock from all over or just a limited amount of stores/store?

Now ice sounds like a good idea!
When I picked up my 3/4" glass 375 I used 2" scd 80 PVC pipe lengths to roll it on. Even though it weighs darn near 1,200 pounds, I could get it rolling by myself stopping it was another issue entirely!
Seeing that tank on the stand is a tease!

Yes the Egyptians (No, it was aliens silly :lol
used a small rock under a big strong rock, not under acrylic that may or not take that kind of point loading. IMO, I wouldnt risk it. Heck use a bunch and leave them there for a rotating tank.
I like the pipes too. Used that alot moving safes, playhouses, spas, etc.
I have seen huge granite steps slid into place on ice then melted for a perfect placement. Neat.

Not by me! 
I enjoy figuring out problems like that. I used to call in all my buddies to move something, but now take pride in getting it done with little or no outside help. Sometimes the hardest length is that last "nudge". Another method would be an air bag. This would give you more lift area and more flexibility to nudge the tank.
