Hi, just thought I'd share a little bit of a teaser... it is likey to be about a year before I am fully in action.
This puppy is 126" (10.5') across and 48" (4') high and is made from 1.5" acrylic. I calculate that it will hold around 2300G.

Its now in a shipping container, soon to be on its way between the UK and Australia.

This will be one of the centerpieces of a new house and should look something like:

The floorplan looks like:

Site work commences in October; hope to have foundations poured in November, and the whole shebang done by Sep 09.

Dude, Join MASOV (Marine Aquarium Assoc of Victoria) and get free help setting it up. I know I would give a hand moving it in, setting it up and frag trading.

That thing is awesome not to mention the house it is going in.
Thanks navyav8r... Quite proud of the house. 8.5 star energy rating... will barely need heating or cooling. Don't suppose you know a guy named Mark Hayler (The only other person I know who has flown FA-18s... lived next door to me for a while)?

can i move into your house ???? the fish haver a better home than i do.......
One of our architects asked the same thing!

Looks great, hope you dont work for Optus after today
No... much more evil...

Hi,

first of all, great looking project. This aquarium will be grerat at this point of the house.

When I first saw your houseplan I'd thought it will be a shame that he won't be able to see the tank from the studdyroom. I just want to let you think about the oportunity to swop the equipment room to the other side? so you have the opportunity to watch into the tank from this side as well. No critism only some thoughts.

Good luck with your project this will be amazing.

sweet.......love it...kareem if he did that then they would have to walk thru his study and he would lose a lot of viewing area when in the dining and living area...where he would be most of the time

That is a fantastic house you are building. Mind if I ask what the sq footage (sq meters works too) is? Might have to steal some of those ideas.

What makes the house so energy efficient?

WOW!!!

This aquarium is going to be awesome! I love the "edible garden" and the pizza oven - too cool!

LOL! :uzi:

First off sweeeeeeeeeet.

But second it seems to me that the tanks locaiton isnt in any place that you will readily see it(your lounge or the study for example) Might consider relocating it...just some food for thought

it'd be nice. Would it be better if you remove the door and wall from the entry to the dinning room? so that people would walk around the tank from entry to the house?
