2300G Cylinder - Preview

Sounds great, we were planning on C. lineatus, C. exquititus (Vanuatu variant) and C. condei trios. We had been warned off mixing C. scottorum with those species due to increased aggression, however in a tank your size, I doubt it will be an issue ;)

You may have some issues mounting it, and underestimating the amount of force, if you use it in one of the pulse modes, or even at a higher stream setting. IMHO, the single unit I have on a 12 000 gal., is too much - I can't run it above 80%, or it blows everything around - so I'm not sure how 2 will work on something this size. Feel free to PM if you have any questions about them.

jd474, I am aware of the power of these things... when I was testing in the bathtub, I pulsed to 100%. It nearly launched itself out of the bath and half of the water ended up on the walls. I intend to pulse between 20% and 40%.

i'm sure your wife was happy that you spontaneously decided to clean the bath room:lolspin::lolspin:

LOL, yeah most people that haven't been there don't realize how ridiculously big it is and how many different climate zones there is. Amazing build BTW.

Hi all, sorry for the big pause on updates... moving house has taken 3 or so weeks of my spare time.

A couple of photo updates.

The aquarium surrounds now varnished and looking schmick; dining table in the foreground:

When will there be another update? This tank has the potential to become the most amazing tank on RC, from the shape to the look, it just needs life! I understand If progress is slow, financially this project could take someone years, but It seems like you have almost everything in terms of the basics. Can't wait till its full!
