240 Inwall Construction (Image Intense)

Shhh.... it was very quiet in here. ;) Seriously, I'll try and get a new FTS as soon as I can. The tank has been on auto-pilot with just basic maintenance and a little fragging here and there. Everything has been doing well. I'll try to set some time aside this weekend for a photo but no promises.

just wanted to tell you how much you suck..............................and your tank suck's........................and.................your shoes suck.................and, and..............I'm going to bed now........................and your ...........mail box suck's ;) .

SWEET TANK!

Weatherson - This is like a visit to Willy Wonk's Chocolate Factory! This is the first time I've seen and read this thread and am glad I did. Best tank I've ever seen!

corals b 4 bills: I can take a lot but when you talk about my mailbox, you've gone too far! ;) Thanks.

Aaron: Thanks for the kind words.

Here's the best full tank shot I could get from today. Not much different from the previous FTS aside from a little more coral growth.

Joseph - In looking at your FTS dated 12/14/05, there were some remnants of a valley in the middle. I really love that look and I think your corals are getting overcrowded in there. Time for another tank! I'm only saying this so that I can see you in action again with your DIY projects. :)

... yup!

Also, just wondering what you use to keep your glass so clean and algae free? Looks like it takes more than a mag scraper.. or maybe not.

Thank you very much. I'll give the beauty credit to the corals though. ;)
Aw you don't have to give me all the credit........all I did was submit one post!:D

george1098: I use a Algae Free Hammerhead cleaning magnet for regular cleanings as well as a Mag-float with an Easy Blade attachment glued on for the stubborn algae. That's pretty much it. As long as I stay on top of cleaning the glass, usually every other day, it remains clean and clear.

I'm assuming you do the same with the back wall? How much distance do you have between your front panel and your corals? Do you frag them back to preserve this space?

As always a inspiring tank and system.

thirschmann: Yes, I clean the back glass in the same way as the front. It's only the side glass that I do differently using the modified Kent scraper with a straight razor attached.

A few of corals are right next to the front glass (blue stag at the left, Miami Orchid at the center and pink Birdsnest at the top right). Close enough on occasion that the cleaning magnet hits a few tips, sometimes ending in a new frag. Then I do some relatively major fragging to move them back a ways. A few months later and the magnet is hitting them again. ;)

do you still use ozone and how is set up do you use your skimmer or do you have some sort of a reactor for it
