24000 L/H on a 90 gal.

Roger, I was thinking of putting the 24000 l/h on my 90. Could I crank down the output enough to keep the water in the tank? I realize that the 6000's might be more suited for this size tank but I intend on transferring them to a 300 Gal cube (48x48x30) at a later date and wanted to avoid having to upgrade later. By the way the 90 has about 120 lbs of live rock 4 inches of oolitc sand and a mix of sps zoanthids and a "big" ridge hammer.

The oolitic sand is the problem, I don't think you could crank it down far enough. Besides the 300 you are looking at has such odd dimensions I still think the 6000 is the best choice but you may need 3-4 of them. Their isn't enough length to support the flow.
