It is now official!

It is now official!

The hole has been cut and the tank has been framed in!!!

I will need pics to verify that the hole has been cut and that the job was done in a professional manner. Just messing with you. What is going under your stand on the right side, CA reactor?

You got it! That will be the "dry" side, a divider will separate all the external equipment from the humidity and salt.:)

Pics are coming!

Update pics!

Update pics!

Here are the pics from yesterday!
We had one major snag yesterday....the tank could not be slid out flush with the wall because the hole for the bulkheads were not big enough:( Imagine the anxiety caused by cutting away a 1/2 inch to allow things to move freely! Whew!...with that taken care of we went to town, here are the pics:

The beginning:

There you have it!!
The doors have been sealed and the ac has been running since last night, coming on only 3 times an hour for a minute flat! The room is a cool 79degrees at 34% humidity. I've got a moisture absorber Kelly found at Ace Hardware that is rated to last 45 days that I'm going to try out to see if it goes down further.

The white strip across the tank is a removable panel currently held in place with door catches (that I hate) so Kelly thought of magnets. I was able to get 4 16lbs magnets that should hold it on there no problem, the panel is 5/8 MDF and only weights about 15 lbs so the magnets should work out great!:D

Going to go fill er up!

Corner bead?

Corner bead?

Did you put corner bead on the cut drywall edges?

The edges probably won't be visible with the molding, but I would be concerned in the future about drywall dust dropping down from above or the sides into your tank...

Just a thought,

I think it looks great in that location!

Pics of the light setup and finished doors!

Doors came out great:

No water dripping out the ac thanks to a built-in condensate pan:

Lights:

Single pendant burning with a 20,000k Ushio for spread test...the height is perfect!!

Extended track to slide pendants out the way for maintenance:

Suspension system...all galvanized aluminum, I can move lights up, down, side to side, or rotate to an angle:D :

Shot of the back of the access panel...once I get done posting I will installed magnets instead:

The edges were covered before the molding was installed, I'm sure you see it now.:)

Taging along. Its great to see an Arizona build thread for once. All those people back east with all the space in the basement make me jelouse. Great job, I cant wait to see it up and running.
One of these days we need to get all the Tucson guys together with the Phoenix guys. You guys seem to have your @%$& together alot better than the scene in Tucson. Best of luck.
