240g lee mar in-wall commences!

Amazing, cannot wait until I get to go large. Will do a 180 or 240 as well. My 90 is great but I would love a larger tank!

Any new pictures?
Not really...I didn't think the small diatom bloom would be of interest to you guys. The 3 Allen's Damsels are doing well, and the emerald crab shows himself every couple days now. I think I'll be looking into the 1st half of my clean up crew soon though before anymore equipment purchases.

With all of the awesome coral specimens you have in your 90 imagine seeing that in a larger display:spin2:

You are one of the few fellow hobbyists that I'd like to get some stuff from when it comes to coral. You ought to come by sometime and give me some ideas!:)

Well 2 of the damsels got stuck to the Tunze's and perished about a week ago...not sure how:(

Today I added the beginnings of my cuc...some Trochus, Margarita Astea and Turbo's to control the small patches of algae growing on the substrate and rock. Coralline is beginning to take off as well, I'm seeing mostly green a and red along with the usual purple.:)

deciding between 96x24x24 or 96x30x24 l,if you don't mind asking how much did you pay yours 240g? how thick is the glass sides and bottom .
thanks Mark

Gone through the whole thread and love the setup. Tagging along to see the rest of the out come. Continue with the pics please.:fun4:

Glass is 1/2" on the sides bottom is 5/8" thick...got a deal off a buddy who was moving outta state so I did not pay near as much as it would be brand new from LeeMar.

Long awaited update!

Long awaited update!

Guys, gotta admit I've been MIA...however with good reason...My wife and I officially tied the knot the day after Christmas in Vegas! It was a planned ceremony(not to disappoint you Elvis fans) and everything turned out great:dance:

Cheers!:

Ok so back to fish crap as she calls it...I've had a little piece of equipment laying around for some time that I was able to grab up from Spectrapure. It's their unreleased media reactor which has and still is under development and I was lucky enough to get one to play with and report back.

This is a dual reactor setup with a 3.5 cup capacity chamber, 1/2" inlet/outlets and inserts with removable lid with a built-in 10 micron mesh filter.

Here's a few shots of it...Note I did not get any fittings with this unit however I was informed by Charles that it would be sold with barbed elbows similar to what you see in the pics, however that was not set in stone...Anyway here we go!

Filled with a cup and a half of Phoslock:

And there ya have it!

I've been running this since just before Christmas with 1.5 cups of Phoslock and 2 cups of carbon using a Rio1100. The configuration is set so that the Phoslock is on the ball valve since the media is very small in size and carbon is on a down flow passthrough so no tumbling.

Overall it's working great so far...crystal clear water and 0 Phosphates!

congratulations on the wedding! what a unique tank build. that reactor is very similar to a brs duel reactor, i like mine alot. look forward to seeing some updated pics of the tank
