240g lee mar in-wall commences!

So everything has been re-assembled as of yesterday! Before returning the rock to the display I took the opportunity to vac the sand bed and remove about 50lbs or so. I also drained the sump except for the DSB sponged it down cleaned all the pumps, skimmer with vinegar and voila. Man it's crazy what can accumulate in less than a year.
I will take some pics of the new aquascape tomorrow.

New aquascape!

So a month later and there are pods all over the glass, sand, and on the rock and coralline has begun to colonize the rock:)
2 more weeks and the livestock will be placed back in.

So all livestock has been returned to the display about a week now and are looking happy as ever. I attempted a school of chromis as posted a while back but they kept picking on the "weakest link" so I ended up with four. I think the trick with these guys is a very large QT tank with tons of plastic decor for hiding because 2 months of QT in anything 20g and under is impossible. Or I can buy 3 at a time and go that route.
Made some plumbing changes as well...I added on to the manifold which runs of the return pump to feed my dual reactors in addition to the calcium reactor I also plumbed it to the drain so I can remove water from the sump for water changes. I will have to post pics.

A few more questions on your stunning reef:

- I may have missed this in the thread, but is the A/C unit cooling the area where the tank is located or just the top off water storage unit?
- In my future location (garage) I don't have the ability to build a room around the tank. Do you think an attic fan in the garage would remove enough humidity & heat?
- Is your furnance in the garage? If so does your attic fan pull in fumes?
- Does your magnetic cleaner also remove coraline algae? In my last tank I had to spend hours earch week scraping...

Thanks for checking it out!
The ac unit is dedicated to the fish room then there is the attic fan mounted on the wall of the garage to vent the heat from the ac unit...if that make sense.
I have a gas hot water heater so no fumes.
You can get an attachment that has a thin blade that will scrape coralline off, as a magnet cleaner by itself won't do the job. This is what I use attached to my mag float: http://www.mopsdirect.us/easy-blade-black-original-scraper-attachment-p-124.html?currency=USD

Current stock list is as follows:
Zebrasoma desjardini
Ctenochaetus strigosus
Acanthurus Nigricans QT
Naso lituratus QT
Pseudanthias bartlettorum (pair) 2 more females in QT.
Chromis viridis (4) 10 more in QT.
Pseudochromis fridmani
Centropyge multicolor QT
Zoramia leptacanthus (3) QT
Pomacentrus alleni

Deciding on wrasses now as I've had some jumpers already I purchased the clear 1/4" netting from BRS and will frame it up in three sections to rest on the euro-brace.

I've been running Alk at 10.6DKH the past couple months to accelerate the coralline and it has definitely been working.
