240g Question

Been pondering what to do for flow in my new 240 due to be here next week. Currently I have in a 175 bow 1 6080, 4 MJ 1200's, and the return pump Sequence Sting Ray ~3000 GPH. Return pump will have more pressure on the new tank though. What do you recommend for flow for a primarily SPS tank? Will 2 6100's do it? Wavebox?

Two 6100's should do it, adding the wavebox would make it pretty unbeatable, because dead spots would be an impossibility and the current would be truly random.

Roger, I am interested in increasing my flow too. I have a 240 with an Ampmaster 3000 (3000gph flow) and 2 1,000 gph Iwaki pumps. I am interested in a turbelle stream. Do I just need one stream or do I need the controller too? What would you recommend? I would be willing to remove one of the pumps I already have.

OK, I did a lot of reading and think I figured it out. I am willing to bet you would recomend the TS24 package with the 7095 controller and 2 6100s and dump some of my current pumps. Maybe add a wavemaker for the best results and just use one return off the sump.

I am sure a 6100 would not hurt, so I think I may just start there and piecemeal the system together over time.

The 7095 is the wavemaker so nothing else would be needed. Maybe you are referring to the wavebox. You really could eliminate all the closed loop system with a TS24 and a wavebox, the TS24 alone would be about equal to what you have.

Oops, yep, I meant wavebox. I am not happy with the way I have the ampmaster 3000 plumbed. I ordered a 6100, 7091, and photocell. I think this should give me much better flow and allow me to eliminate the ampmaster.
