Can't beat a navarchus to add some pizzaz to a tank.

Unfortunately I think it started to nip my clams so they are in the sump.

So it ended up being my Regal Tang that was picking on the claims. I tried to catch it with no luck. I managed to get rid of one of the clams to a fellow reefer but one ended up dieing first.
I picked up a Gyre as one of my Jebao's died. I love the Gyre in pulse mode! I get a wave in my tank now.

I changed to a bit more blue lighting with my Ecotech's and had to move my chalice as it was developing dead spots in the centre. It's recovering now since the move.

So I had a few setbacks recently. Dori became a major bully attacking my Zebra Eel and going after my anthias. I caught her and sold her off. Really miss her as she was a real character.
I also lost my purple LTA and Gigantea anemone. I think it was an infection transfered from a new striped LTA I got from the pet store. I found another reefer selling a LTA but a lot smaller and not purple.
One of my Gyre's just decided to not work again after a power outage. I really wish I hadn't gone with them and went with Tunze or Apex.

So all my Jebao's have broken down. I have 1 Gyre 150 that is working and 1 that isn't. I need more flow but not sure what to get. I would like a Tunze 6155, but they are $750 here. I don't want to trust more new powerheads after my experience with Gyre's so don't want to try the Wav's. Vortech seem interesting but due to my overflow on the 1 side, it would have to be on the bottom half of the tank and likely blow the sand around. Any other options out there for an 8 foot tank?

Imo Tunze are built the best, and will last you the longest, instead of the 6155, got with 4 6105's and buy them lil by lil, that's what I would do

Thank you for the input. I've decided to start with 1 Vortech 40 to see how that works with placement. They push out similar flow to the 6155, but cost less than a 6105 here. Placement is going to be tricky, but the cost of the Tunze's here is just crazy. I've had mixed results with my other Tunze technology, but I know they are considered one of the best.
