Just read the thread.. very cool set up. I'm envious of the toys.

Thank you, Corals came from SPIKES CORALS.

I went to the site and 90% of the corals were sold out. Now I see why.

I pick up my first corals from them and Glenn ( the owner) is a great guy. I had a problem the the shipping company and he drove out with replacements... I found out he lives about a 45 mins from me. In fact at the last club coral swap in Atlanta he cleaned out my wallet but I left with a full frag rack.

Front view of the tank. (this is all before i tore it down)

"Before you tore it all down"?

Is this from 5/21 and your issue with bad rock?

Also, as a side note...
Be careful of the electrical outlets that are lower than the cord.. ie.. Drip loops.. water has a tendency to run down cords into electrical sockets and cause big troubles!!

yes this video is from march 2013. i took the tank down in april and now its back up again with new rock and new sand. rock was the issue. it was man made rock that was leeching something in water that caused no coral to live. and is some softies did live they were half way dead and as soon as a coral was placed on the rock it was history in few hours.
not sure on the electrical part as all my sockets are above the equipment. nothing on the ground nor below any equipment. all cords run up to the sockets.

I was noticing some outlets behind the frag tank in older pics with cords from the QT tank plugged in running down hill... glad you have that checked...

gonna start my build thread tonight!

good luck and please send me a link. its always good to see other setups.

I still look at the 'cooler/fridge' on the wall and think of a beer fish.

That must be your cold water tank. HAHA..

I am noisy... Humm...

Red salt and brown RODI?
Two Chillers?
Where is your Co2 for the calcium reactor?

How often do you open the garage door and how much does the OK humidity/heat affect the room?

My first chiller was a pieced together uline icemaker. i ran loops of nylon tubing inside..
it worked... thats about it..

started the build thread....

lol
fridge is an auto feed system when i am out of town.
i got 3 chillers, 1. main tank 1.5hp commercial chiller 2. 1/2hp for dual qt system and 3rd 1/10hp for saltwater mixing barrel.
red for ro/di brown for saltmix
posting a clear pic of equipment including co2.
i leave the garage door open about a foot all the time but i ordered a 1200 cfm axial exhaust fan that will turn inside/outside air every 20 min.
