250 HQI Lighting

Would 250watts of MH be ok for a tank dimension of 30x24x18?

It equals 56 gallons so will i have to shorten the tank up to 28, 26 or even 24 inches to get sufficient lighting?

Another solution is to add 2x24 watts of T5's or 4x24....

I have a 55tall with those dimentions and am running one 250 and two 65w PCs with great success. SPS, LPS, softies and fish/inverts.

250 will be fine, but the ends will be a little shaded.

What if i threw on 2x24w T5's ....i have some laying around.....brand new...
