I love everything about this tank. Once it grows in some it really is going to be something else. very nice!!

ufff I totally forgot about this thread since I was so busy with my own life but I finally have some chance to continue posting:thumbsup:

thanks guys for all your reply to this thread....

Love the aquascaping! Very impressive. Nice rics too :)

Is any of the rock glued?

Hi, one side of the rock work was glue it with white cement and crushed coral to have more natural looking(dinosaur type :lol2:) and for the other one I only used cable ties to bad that I did not glued with white cement from the beginning

Amazing tank! Love the dimensions of this one. Thank so much for sharing it!

thanks.....

Chris,

I just came across this thread. the tank is amazing. I think it is one of the nicest uses of space on the rock that I have seen in a while. Nothing is right on top of eachother giving it a chance to grow out. I also just got the same size tank, but with a center overflow. Are you running an 8x80 sunpower? also, how far off the water do you have it.

any pics of the sump area to this amazing set up.

Eric

yes I'm using a 8x80w sunpower at about 10" high from the water level,I just to used 10x80w bulbs but it was to my light for my zoas and ricordeas so I went to 8 bulbs just to cover the SPS area

I will post some pictures of the entire system very soon stay tuned

Very nice set up. Love the rimless and great scape! Looking forward to seeing it all grow in excellent job..

thanks...

Very nice tank, I cant wait until this one matures. How are those tetras doing for you? I was thinking about adding some chromis or those tetras. I refrained from the chromis because I hear they tend to kill each other off. Are the tetras aggressive towards each other? Thanks.

Apogon Leptacanthus, also known as the Threadfin Cardinalfish ...

Tetras are Freshwater fishes, Retzius :headwallblue:

You are correct in that Chromis, specifically Chromis viridis, have a tendency to kill eachother off due to aggression issues within the social hierarchy of their shoal(s)

awesome tank, what did you use to glue your frags to the rock? didnt look like there was any putty or frag plgus involved.

Really looking good, can't believe I just caught up with this one :celeb1:

thank you!!

awesome tank

thanks

Looks great. We need a full tank shot to see the growth.

I will do it soon......

I prefer this Cardenals than chromis, cardenals are not agresive towards each other, when I first bought it was 20 of them now are only 6,they are very hardy fishes but I read that they shipped very poorly from the sea and they die in your tank very because the stress that's why you need to buy a lot of them so at the end you can have a nice school of cardenals

I been using ecotech glue to glue my corals,I always cut off the plug or base out is the coral and I glue it straight to the rock, this way the corals looks more natural in the rocks

How do you keep your sand from blowing around and making dunes?

Thanks

I use reef grade sand ,the size is larger that a fiji pink or similar similar sand,I configure my flow to not flow straight to the sand to not make any sands storms

Thats amazing

thanks
