250g SPS peninsula style tank

at some time I was thinking to get rip of it because it grows super fast, I been making a lot of frag out of it because I want to keep all my corals around the same range but with this baby is totally impossible they fully recover in less then
2 weeks after the fraging method :crazy1:I think I just going to let it be

id let it go, its one of the nicer colors and growth shapes imo. Not so common either. At least I dont see many here on the board.

here is some recent pictures of my corals

thanks for all your reply's guys,I will try to take more shots so you guys can see how's everything is going

at this moment I'm really enjoying my tank, corals are doing great and they responding very well

I'm starting to get in love with wrasses, I already have like about 10 different species of reef safe wrasses,I really like how colorful they are, I'm saving some money to get a flame wrasse that fish rocks! I saw one in a LFS here in LA it was so amazing !

thanks for posting

I love peninsula tanks and someday I hope to have one. I really like your aquascaping and you have some very nice corals to grow out.

Is the bottom drilled at the far end for the closed loop? Are you satisfied with the amount of flow that you have on the far end of the tank?

Those are awesome corals so much color!! I believe those are just t5's? whats your bulb configuration and photo period

yes I'm only using T5's,I'm running a ATI sunpower 8 bulb fixture with the next bulb configuration

Oh and did you add all 3 yellow tangs at the same time? any agression between them or do they get along ok
yes, I did all of it at the same time, other ways they will fight each other and they do school all the time

Tank is amazing. An inspiration to anyone with a tank. What is that neon green coral next to your setosa?
that's an green humilis acropora the color very radioactive green I really like it is one of my oldest coral it been growing very slow for some reason

thanks for your comment,I'm really happy with the peninsula tank cause I have more place to put coral,it's really cool

yes the bottom glass has 11 holes for closed loop and sump circulation system ,I'm very satisfied with the flow in my tank, water go different waves all the time, plus all the other flow ways that I have (return with penductors and tunze wavebox)is the perfect combination,I been using vortech in another setup but with a peninsula style tank, closed loop is the way to go,I have no sand storms at all and no dead spot in the tank...

Chris,

I just came across this thread. the tank is amazing. I think it is one of the nicest uses of space on the rock that I have seen in a while. Nothing is right on top of eachother giving it a chance to grow out. I also just got the same size tank, but with a center overflow. Are you running an 8x80 sunpower? also, how far off the water do you have it.

any pics of the sump area to this amazing set up.

Eric
