250G's Return to SPS

So I went to see this tank just before Christmas:

One of the nicest systems I have ever seen. Darryl has a great set-up going and fantastic corals....this tank should be TOTM in 2012, I learned a lot when I was there!

This is what I picked up, many others also, just getting use to the setting on the new camera:

very nice collection you walked away with!!!!!

how about an updated FTS full of frags!!!!!

how is the black tang doing? and are you feeding it that special tablet?

A very nice collection of SPS. Cant wait to see the outcome in 6 months and 12 months time.

sorry for the delay in posting again...

to date, all the frags I got are doing great, all have encrusted, most have held their color very well almost one month after being in the tank. tanks appears to be done cycling.

I am simply doing B Ionic right now...my new tank should be available soon according to the builder.

I gotta say, the Illumina 260 appears to be doing the job at maintaining the colors. so far so good. dave

great thread dave.....I am waiting on my tank from Atlas as well. Tim sent me some pictures of with the final panel on it and it looks great. I wish I was closer to Toronto so I could go check out their shop!

Anytime. Overall, I suspect some corals dropped 20% of their pop from your tank, while other have maintained their color. So I am happy with the light, the tank is still pretty new though, at least compared to yours.

That is good news Dave.....thanks for the update.

I am running the light at 40% white and both blue's at 100% right now. I intend to ramp it up more, slowly.

cool waht % you running on the light?

Saw your tank just the other week, it was being built while I was there. Nice tank!

Atlas is the construction/design side of Advanced Reef Aquatics in Toronto. After about 15 years of doing this, they are the only place I would recommend for a premium custom tank.

Is Atlas the name of the company? Do they have a website?

Dave. Regarding your comment about Atlas/Advanced Reef Aquatics as your only trusted source for premium, custom tank work ... What are your thoughts on Miracles ? One would figure, given your close proximity to them, they would be the go to shop for this type of work, no ?

*Derailing this 5 star thread in the making isnt the intention so please no outside comments on tank builders*

Feel free to shoot me a PM, Dave !
