See my other post for why I am selling things, but this item is with me in Ohio, so I would have to ship it.
I am selling my Lumatek 250 watt digital metal halide ballast. It has been used for about a week before I had to move--and in the process downsize tanks, thus only needing one MH instead of two.
In case you don't know the difference between digital and electronic or magnetic ballasts, here is the scoop.
Advantages:
Using one for over a year, I personally noticed a drop in the electric bill. Then I decided to get another.....right before I found out I had to move.
They run much cooler than any other ballast I have used, and less heat means less electricity wasted. The output is AWESOME!
Retail price is $192
Can be found online for $130
Mine is practically new, no paperwork, with cord:
$110 shipped.

Advantages:
Runs cooler than electronic, MUCH cooler than electronic
No power surge on startup, so you won't trip a breaker and can link multiple ballasts to one circuit.
Up to 27% brighter (direct from independent tests) output than magnetic ballasts
Automatically adjusts itself based on the bulb for maximal output. Has an on board micro-processor that adjusts electric feed to bulb for maximal performance.
Sealed box for those accidental spills
15 foot RF shielded output cord (won't interfere with TV)
