Starting a 225G SPS dominant tank. the dimensions are 72x30x24. Can some one clue me in on what would be a good amount of flow for some med size SPS pieces? I was thinking in terms or Vortechs what would i need? I am also considering tunze's.

I know for sure that I am going to use 1 Eheim compact plus 5000 as my return. I ordered 2 but am thinking I may only need the one because at max it pushes 1320gph.

How can I deck this tank out to keep all the SPS i want?

Help!

is that 30" tall or wide?

I have a 180 and am still playing around with the idea of either 3 mp40's or a 40 and a 60 . . . leaning towards the 40 and the 60 but im not 100% sure yet.

:bum:$$$$$$$$ Big Baller, moneys no object.. lol... All joking aside that plenty of flow. To be exact thats 7,500gph per mp60 and 3,200gph per mp40 so thats 7,500(2) +3,200(2)= 21,4000gph / 225gallon tank = 95 times flow rate turn over in tank lmao....they will get the job done

In regards in tank flow, you will be more than fine with 2 MP60s and 2 MP40s. In regards to your return pump issue, I would stick with your original idea and use both pumps. You'll have one running in case one fails and a adequate amount of turnover when both are running. Keep in mind that's a nice size tank, and you'll have at least a 55g for the sump.
