That sounds like my problem just a bummer I didn't buy a thick sound proof material because my hole is drilled straight on. Would it be worth plumbing that pump on the concrete floor or not worth the extra head? Also sucks that shelf is screwed right to the wall my couch is on you can hear everything that's why I'm thinking just use the smaller dart and run no manifold off my main display pump buy a smaller pump for manifold. They shipped it to abf in Allentown and I picked it up with a trailer. 3 of us got it in the house with the use of moving blankets and a dolly it was extremely heavy. I had anxiety about getting it in the house for weeks ahead of time glad that's done with. The tank quality is okay the silicone seams suck there's so much air and missing gaps now with water they appear white? Strange I'll have to get a good camera and take some pictures.

There are a lot of different choices for materials to help absorb the noise. Most of them are 1/4" to 3/4", so you could probably just slide them in under the pump without having to re-plumb to see if they work. If they don't work, and you still hear it inside on the couch, I'd remove the shelf and go to the floor.

This is how the seams look for all that money I am very unhappy or am I just picky and this is normal. I can honestly say I never saw a custom tank in person?
I ordered a large Miracles tank and am expecting it to arrive within a few weeks. I too would be disappointed if it has seams like that. From what others have said, they are top notch on customer service. I'd try to call them tomorrow and see what they say.

Great build! I agree that the silicone job is not worthy of the high price tag I am sure you paid. I would definitely contact them and see what they can do for you. Good luck with the rest of the build. Looks like your off to a great start

It you moved the pump further away from the sump could you use some flexible PVC to help eliminate hard 90's?
Also, any luck with Miracles?

great tank dimensions! Those seams are hard to look at. I would have it addressed asap.
I have not had a chance to contact them about the seams. When I first got the tank I emailed them about a scratch that I had on the back overflow wall that was on the inside of the overflow like they just used scrap for the back wall but you can see the deep scratch plain as day like it was made from a diamond holesaw they never got back to me so I don't even no who to contact there. I delt with a lady Kim for the whole tank build anyone no of someone I could ask for to speak with them? As for my pump issue I decided to plump the pump under the shelf with the use of 2 45 together make a less restrictive 90. I will post pictures of the remounted pump once it's done. I also ordered a rubber isolate it Mat for under the pump.
Okay here's the builders response.
(The white marks will dissipate, it will take a few weeks, the load of the water causes this but it will dissipate. If it is more pronounced on one seam it may indicate that further leveling.)
I have the tank 100% level I had screw adjustment levelers on all 6 legs also tank is on 5/8 white foam they supply.

my response to them would be this "what if it doesnt dissipate?" a few weeks from now you will be into your cycle and it would really stink if you had to take the tank down and start over again. I had a custom made tank and had no such marks in my seams from the load of the water.
Finally got my system re plumbed and up and running now I just have the normal hum of the motor which is still loud but live able. Can I add like a small amount of bleach to the system so I can run the system for a week without turning into a fresh water tank until I drain and clean it? Just want to test the system and still have a bunch of plumbing till the closed loop system is functional?

Yea I know that question sounds stupid, I am currently running the tank with my well water just as a set up test. I have to plumb in a refug yet and do all the plumbing for the tank instead of draining the system right now I would like to keep the water flowing threw the sump and the tank until I finish the plumbing. I was thinking if I added bleach or vinegar perhaps the tank water and glass wouldn't get that slimy feel or grow bacteria. Off course when it is time I will drain the tank re rinse and fill with salt water made with RODI water. I'm probably just over thinking everything like I always do. :debi:
