OK, another day's update worth for you guys out there... :D

28 Mar, 2008 (Friday)

Yes, the canopy top ready and delivered to my apartment. The frame is made of aluminum so it’s much lighter compare to my metal stand. It’s also comes in 4 pieces for easy assemble/ dismantle in the future… :p

Notice I do not have any support at the bottom of the center piece of canopy frame as I do not want it to block my lights penetration. However in order to ensure the frame can support my wooded frame later on, the sides are slightly welded together….I tried pulling it â€"œ pretty strong as the main support is from the ceiling….

More in next update...... stay tune... :wavehand:

Wow, Ed. You posted a lot of updates overnight! Stand looks WAY better. I even like it painted black. The sump looks huge! Can you post a close-up of the levelling feet on your stand? Do you have floor supports under your tank?

Tbone.....as requested. Sorry I can't get a better picture but it's basically a Stainless steel adjustable legs that they use for furnitures here in China...

I have 1 on each corner of each metal stand so in total 12 adjustable legs... :D

Ed Reef, What a great thread. I have enjoyed your updates. I am designing a tank for Los. Alot of simularities between the two tanks. I just ordered the 24" Solaris. Should be in stock in about 2 weeks. If this works then maybe Los will use the Solaris. Great job and I look forward to follow along

Fabulous build Ed Reef... I am interested in the Solaris as well... concerned about brightness as well as coverage... my 300 gallon Reef eats electricity for the lighting (MH) and I am considering the LED option... not as wide as your tank, but deep and wide never the less...

Cant Find Marcy's posts... But I will keep looking...

Looking forward to your next post.

yeah... Thanks rlxwcapt... I found it late last night, but I do appreciate the assistance... great build that one, from Marcy...
