damn that was quick.

Also I'm not sure how much the salinity will drop using the cleaning head for the Deltec but probably not enough to waste the extra RO storage space on SW. I'm pretty sure in your size tank the water changes will make up for the small drop. I could be wrong but I don't think that small of a fluctuation would influence your tank.

Guess you can't plan everything, things look awesome, and isn't weird that you only notice the small chips AFTER you have already taken delivery and the guy leaves?

Thanks thirschmann...yeah, when the sump arrived, guess I was too excited grabbing my camera to take the process rather than doing a detail inspection...and when all the dust settle down.... :( Anyway will see what I can do

Not going with the Deltec self-cleaning head yet but have space for it in the future.. :p as it's supposed to improved the skimmer efficiency by 30% :eek2: As I have 2 sensor for my Profilux ATO, just wondering what the best way to set it up... to keep my salinity in line (honestly I don't think it's necessary) or to used the 2nd ATO as an Emergency sensor and shut off pumps when it reaches a dangerous level which could cause a flooding in my sump?? :rolleye1: Ed

I have a option from Deltec on my tank where if the level of the sump gets to a certain point it pumps the extra water to a drain as emergency backup to flooding the place. You could use the second ATO as a fail safe as you mentioned and if it trips it could do the same. Guess the sump should be designed to avoid overflow anyways but its always good to have another backup way up high in the sump.

Basically my sump is design to avoid overflow but wanted to have a 2nd back-up....u never know... :) Like your idea on the option form Deltec...

STORM BLOWING.…!!

STORM BLOWING.…!!

25 Mar, 2008 (Tuesday)

Got into an argument with my contractor that is making my cabinet as they seem to have a mind of their own and simply refuse to follow my design/ plan on making the cabinet…already the metal stand have to be redone because of this and now we cannot come into agreement on how the cabinet work should be done, including the canopy frame work…. :uzi: despised me showing them pictures and detail drawing explaining things…. Never knew it was so difficult to get things done here in this country.

Anyway, after about an hour arguing, they finally agree to follow my original plans so keeping my finger cross…

Also meeting up my tank maker today to discussed the ‘chip’ on the sump tank…..wish me luck…!! :hmm2:

Well, the discussion was quite civil and we both agree to redo the sump tank so I will be giving him revised measurement tomorrow that will fit my reactor in-sump and he will try to rush it out within a week for me… Guess a slight delay is better than being sorry for rushing and regretting later…!!

27 Mar, 2008 (Thursday)

The other day I took out my Profilux controller to try to get it connected to my computer….. :hmm4:

After 3 days of trying and customer support from Singapore, today I decided to ship it back to Singapore to let the distributor have a look at my unit?? Maybe there is something I didn’t do right…!! :sad2:

However one thing have to mention here is despised the controller not working yet, the customer service has been great, averaging 5-6 e-mails a day trying to help me resolved this issue…so I’m confident that eventually the controller will work as it supposed to.

the chips in the sump turned out to work in your favor, since you can redesign it to fit your sump!

I just think it's funny that you're posting *updates*, and we're all following along the progress. Yet, things are probably all done and you have your tank already filled as you post your updates :D

Yeah, the 'chip' did turn in flavor of me... 'updates' almost competed... will try to complete the 'updates' before I travel tomorrow and then will be back to 'real' time..... :D

As for the tank...will only be deliver next week (weekend) when I'm back in town... hint..hint...!!

yeah! I can't wait til we're in real time :) I love all your equipment choices, but still not sold on LED's. Very curious to see your experience with it.

me too...me too....well, I will try to post as much details on the lights once it's here...got news it should arrived my distributor from the US next week and after they tested it again in Singapore they will shipped it to me...can't wait... :)

METAL FRAME FOR CANOPY TOP DELIVERED

METAL FRAME FOR CANOPY TOP DELIVERED

OK, another day's update worth for you guys out there... :D

28 Mar, 2008 (Friday)

Yes, the canopy top ready and delivered to my apartment. The frame is made of aluminum so it’s much lighter compare to my metal stand. It’s also comes in 4 pieces for easy assemble/ dismantle in the future… :p

Notice I do not have any support at the bottom of the center piece of canopy frame as I do not want it to block my lights penetration. However in order to ensure the frame can support my wooded frame later on, the sides are slightly welded together….I tried pulling it â€"œ pretty strong as the main support is from the ceiling….

More in next update...... stay tune... :wavehand:
