mike thanks for your contined contributions on this thread. the one that your keep alive is the sweet deepwater table so that is a score in itself. i will send you a pm on r2r to discuss this more. i love how you did the multiple picture frames.
shapermike, great photos! The only one I was able to keep alive is the 3rd one on your list. I thought I lost that coral but had a little living nub left. Now it's maybe 1/2". Better than nothing...
that one is growing fast but it slowed down in the last month but as you can see it is encrusted all most to the bottom of the frag plug. corals can be amazing..
This one was taken 2 weeks back just before Reefapalooza. It's really exploding, get bright new tips every couple days. I've since cut it and permanently mounted it to my rock work.
This one also exploding. I mounted it on the side of the tank and it's growing sideways toward the light bulb.
This one was my favorite. It was turning solid purple with round coralites. It was starting to branch out when my urchin walked through it and chewed up 1/2 of the frag It lost some color due to stress but has recovered and color is coming back. I'm glad the urchin didn't completely destroy it. Yes...of course I banished the urchin to the kingdom of hell! aahahaha
The fourth one which was like a granulosa I lost, it kept falling off and got stuck in side a hole I could not get to. R.I.P.
