3 1/2" True Personifer AND Scribbled in my QT

Purchased a 3 1/2" True Personifer and Scribbled angel off of LA DD.. I've been very successful with angels but have never had any really "rare" species.

These two females are/will be in my QT for the next three weeks until going into the 250 FOWLR.

Anyone have any advice pertaining to these two?

What's your plan for what you'd like to medicate with/for? I'd definitely recommend 2 rounds of Prazi. I would also do some cupramine, but that is personal preference.

I put cupramine in today.. the personifer looks like he has a couple spots but nothing to really worry about. The scribbled looks pristine!

I have a Scribbled in QT (55g) from DD but havent medicated her. She is a voracious eater, fat, and seems very happy so im not sure I wanna medicate. Plus im gonna keep her there til december. opinions?

I thought the fish from DD were already treated for parasites? I have heard that DD fish are the most healthy you can get. you might want to contact someone at foster and smith and ask. you don't want to treat them too much imo. their customer service is really great.

Yea it's funny you say that because I have ordered plenty of fish from LA DD and have never experienced any type of problem, except for one Naso Blonde but the company was great and took care of me... No complaints.

The scribbled looks great. The True P. developed of fews spots on her so I didn't want to take any chances.

I may pull the Scribbled out earlier if she still looks as good as she does now.

The two Chaetodontoplus you got a quite hardy. Nice fishes you got there. I love these Chaetodontoplus.

But I would be careful with cupramine, most angelfish are sensitive to copper. I never treat my angels with copper.

My QT tank is maintained like my main tank. levels are checked daily.. My copper level will never exceed .6 especially with those two fish in it. Unfortunately I'm away on business Wednesday till Monday so my fish keeper will be giving me daily updates... any opinions on when I should pull them out?

My large female scribbled is currently being treated with cupramine. No ill effects after two weeks of treatment with copper levels ~0.5. Once they are eating they are a very hardy fish, if your is eating I don't think you have anything to worry about.

If you noticed spots on your T. Person. I would NOT pull the scribbled out. If it is indeed crypt is is quite possible that the scribbled has it as well (you just cant see it). Treat them both and then add to your system.

IF you are treating with Prazi I think you need to keep them in there for 6-8weeks??? I could be wrong here. Someone will chime in

I've never used Prazi before, and to tell you the truth I don't even know what it is!

Both of them ate some gut loaded mysis this morning and look happy and cheerful. Just waiting for the spots to disappear of the T. Person. Hopefully when I get back they will be some what gone.
