3/4 inch acrylic

I am considering purchasing some vortech's for my standard 240 acrylic tank 8x2x2. 3/4 inch thick. I saw a post somewhere that the heat caused some small cracking to the acrylic. Is this a know problem? Would I be risking my tank by istalling 2 of these?

I believe that thread references some other contributing factors that may have lead to the issue.

I don't know how relevant those issues are or not, but I have a 3/4" acrylic tank with 3 pumps, running for almost 6 months without issue. All three pumps are running in Reef Crest mode.

There is one isolated instance in which a VorTech pump was associated with any damage on an acrylic aquarium. We have sold thousands of VorTechs that are being used on acrylic tank. Feel free to research this forum for acrylic tank users that are using our product problem free. We have researched this issue extensively and were informed by several well respected acrylic experts that if your tank is built within proper manufacturer's recommended specifications, you will not have a problem with our pumps on a 3/4 inch acrylic tank. Feel free to email me directly if you would like to discuss this further.
