Well, I will try to display quickly some things that you guys had asked to me and others that I find interesting on my system

Display -about to 1600 GL + or -
Sump - about to 800 GL

Reservoir - 1000 + 530 = 1530 GL
Surge Device - 80 GL.

Circulation:
3pumps -
2 x 2900 GL/h (brazilian pump - Aquantt)
1 x 3500 GL/h (Dolphin)

The bombs still serve the ozone reactor, UV filter, drywet and filtering mechanics.

1 skimmer ETS - down draft - 4 injectors - 1,70 cm pump 2900 GL/h

I wonder the cost of the project (I stopped to make account, or else i would be crazy) for equipment and costs in Brazil (well more expensive than in the USA), runs about to U$ 25000,00.

Control of Temperature:
We are in phase of tests of the conception of the project, that is to keep the controlled temperature in a first period of training through the one use sump of considerable size (increase of the volume of the water) and below of the level of the ground (embedded).
The first tests if had ,shown satisfactory.
For a reached maximum temperature of 32º C in the exterior, the water level did not exceed 28/29º C.
For a bigger security, I will have to install another 3 fans of a bigger size, to remove hot air and cool air of the water through the surface of the tank or for ticket of water column.

For the total of water and sump embedded, we notice that the trend is to keep a small exchange of temperature with the exterior.

For the heating, the project conceives a system of solar heating, keeping plastic curtains closing the environment and two heaters of 7500w each one, setting in motion of form sequence, objectifying to keep the water around 21 22º C. In this winter, in the tests, the temperature of the water arrived in the maximum 18/17º C, for an exterior temperature of 9º 10º C.

The windows are in glass of 30 mm plated (3x10mm), what it gives a green aspect. The acrylic in the Brazil is very expensive.

The covering of the concrete is of colored and colorless gelisofilatica resin; an aragonite mass, halimeda and gel colorless resin to give a more natural aspect

The tank will be preferential fish only, but I will place some less demanding soft corals and others sps. I go to make some experiences.

Very impressive.For the money that you spent its not bad considering the size of your tank its fairly cheap.Its very nice it looks like you are on a small beach(mini ocean) and you walk into the ocean.What happens in extreme weather conditions,hard rain or if it gets colder than normal.

If I am not mistaken in Brazil they talk money like most of europe.......meaning 25000,00 is actually a quarter of a million dollars to you and I.

If its really only 25k I am shocked.

definately want to see where this goes. Set-up looks very natural with the large chunks of live rock.
 
I thought 25 k witch to me isn't bad for a tank of this size.I think if its 250 k then thats a hell of a lot of money.I do think because the tank is cement it could be done for 25 k but I also think with all that equipment its kind of hard to do all this for 25 k then again what do I know.The tank is impressive.I showed the picture to mu wife just to show her my tank isn't so big.
 
I really believe that 25K $ is about right in Brasil. I live in Venezuela and the economics are about the same, imported good are expensive, (twice US prices), but all the local materials and labor are really inexpensive (when translated in US$ prices) so the big concrete, and glass work is reasonable done in that amount. He olso used Brasilian pumps, PVC piping & valves (btw very good quality) even some electrical supplys (ballast) I am not sure about MH lamps

nice you know for the amount he spent its very reasonable.25K is alot of money but he built himself a very large tank.I wouldn't even call this a tank its more like a saltwater pond its massive.Very nice its big I can't imagine what it will cost to stock the tank.What about electricity is that expensive in Brazil.I know he can use some natural sunlight witch is nice and saves on electric bills but he covered most of the tank with the cover.Its still looks like some sunlight can get in to light the tank.How often can you say to someone come in my backyard and take a look at my aquarium
 
I am not sure if you posted this but what types of lighting are you going to be using for this tank?
