I'm sure you guys can guess how this goes.
Add lawnmower blenny to the 60 gal tank. He sits on my pump for two days. Can't figure out why he won't graze.
Turns out every time he thinks about leaving the pump, 3 stripe damsel about half his size goes berserk at him until he chases him back on top of the pump.
Of course I knew the dascyllus damsels can be huge jerks but most of my searching said that lawnmower blennies were good candidates for stable tankmates with damsels.
So posting this for reference.
the 4-5yr old Damsel is now living at LFS, and the blenny is happily grazing the tank.
P.s. I added the damsel years ago-my 2nd fish ever, but I'll be able to have much more interesting fish now without him.
