3" Wave?

I am designing a new 450 gallon reef and I am not sure how the wave box with extension will effect the over flows and returns. The tank is 8 feet long and I believe I can make a 3 inch wave. If my water level were to normally be at 4" below the lip of the tank would the wave at the high end reach to 1 inch below the lip and the low end down to 7 inches below the lid? Thank you for your help.

My tables show that you would get a wave height of about 1.5" at a frequency of 1.1 sec, approx. I think you will not have a problem and the waveheight can be adjusted. My table is based on a single wavebox for a tank 8 ft long but with half the volume ao I think it is pretty accurate even if you double the number of waveboxes and volume.
