3 Year Anniversary Pics

Ever interested in selling some frags? Im in the city quite often and have been looking at buying some. :D
I believe that Keith ALWAYS has some frags for sale...with the growth rate of his corals, he's constantly pruning!
BTW... great guy, to deal with!

Amazing tank and colors....that pearl berry look killer. What stag is that all the way to the right? and how long have you been growing that PM it looks great.

Wow Keith its been a while since I have seen any activity from you and thought I would pop in your thread to check out your tank. Looking absolutely amazing!! Can't believe those PM colonies! So nice to see when people lay off the fragging and let those things grow. Inspires me to find me a frag to start my own colony.

Post some current shots for us when you get a chance.

Erik
Thanks Erik! Stay tuned on the pics....I am planning to post a "4 Year Anniversary Pic" thread in April. I am a big skier and I haven't had a lot of time to take any shots but I will start to compile some.

This thing is just so amazing, i want something like this one day. Ivee been thinking about doing a frag tank once my little guys start growing! I might have to swing by and check out your setup one of these days. What kind of blue stag is that on your right side? Ever interested in selling some frags? Im in the city quite often and have been looking at buying some. :D
Thanks! Are you talking about this stag?

It is an Aqua Stag and it dominates the right side of my tank.

I always have a lot of trimming to do so PM me about frags.

And thank you!

Check out my post above about the Aqua stag. I believe I have had my largest PM colony for 3 years and the smaller one for 2 years. They grow at a good clip for me.

Ill have to keep my eyes out for when he is! Its nice buying from guys on here who know what they are doing rather then some LFS that half *** it.

Keith, can you tell me how you deal with all that humidity in your basement? Do you have an exhaust fan? Do you run dehumidifiers? How do you handle that amount of water in your home, especially after a winter like the one we just had when your house is closed up tight?

Holy Schmoly, great aquarium! Can you tell us what camera settings you use? Also, how many corals do you have? I have a fairly young tank, ~18 months, having a hard time gauging how many corals will be needed once all the frags are grown in.

Thanks

No exhaust fan or dehumidifiers in the basement. I guess I am lucky on that front.

Thanks!

It depends on the type of shot, but I generally I take pictures in the manual mode at a 400 ISO. For macros I use a higher aperture and a slower speed while I use a higher speed and lower aperture for fish. Sometimes I go up to a 800 ISO for fish but it can get too grainy. I also adjust the white balance, use a tripod and set a timer to maximize the sharpness of the shots. I do a lot of playing around with the settings and take many shots to get a few good ones so I would recommend doing the same.

As for corals, I probably have over 30 types.
